The 3207 patch will be deployed on Tuesday, 1 February. The reason the patch is being delayed is that we wanted to give it some more testing time.
Some good news about the patch, however. Some of the asked for projectile changes and tech level 2 Industrials will be introduced with the patch. The skill packs required by the new Indies will be available at the same time.
Patch notes will be posted later in the week and Singularity will be getting a TQ mirror as well.

Will the proposed interceptor changes make it into this patch?

ôtech level 2 Industrials will be introduced with the patch.ö Any chance of tweaking the T2 Industrials so the Gallente pilots can shield tank? Any chance of shield relays T2 being released? What was the reasoning in downgrading so many parts to the T2 Industrials over the T1?
Good luck with the patch.

I'm gonna have to start getting on the test servers.

Ow and some good news, we migth take the time to look into the bumping bug. note: this doesnt mean we can reduce lag or CTD¦s but who cares? --------------------------- new sig under construction |

Though I can understand the reasons for the delay this is not good news for all us POS owners that have been holding back on our complex reations for after the patch. Another week of waiting and hoping.....

Edited by: Juniper on 24/01/2005 19:25:35 If you need the extra week for testing only, then you must be into 'feature freeze', yes? (ie: nothing new to be added, just testing what's already there)
So how about letting us know the patch notes now then please. Just so we know that the patch is what everyone's hoping it will be. All I've heard of so far is some Notepad fixes... which are going to make such a difference to so many people...
I think it's only fair...?

Edited by: Pottsey on 24/01/2005 20:11:53 ôthese new industrails, is it the crappy ones posted in ships and modules by someone?ö I hope note. The Blockade runner was pretty nice but the larger ship needed tweaking. It has less shield recharge, less high slots, less mid slots, less turret slots, less cargo space, less CPU and less speed then the T1 ship.
It also has to be amour tanked when every Industrial pilot I have seen shield tanks to maximise cargo space. They need to make it so we can shield tank the Gallanet T2 ships.
The resistanceÆs are nice and the extra hitpoints are good on the T2 but you could always use the extra slots in a T1 ship and get good resistanceÆs and hitpoints and you can bet a T1 with the extra slots works out cheaper then the T2 ship.
With the extra skill training needed and all the other disadvantageÆs over T1 cargo ships I think bigger transport ships need more work. Could it be made so they can shield and amour tank? That and put back the shield recharge down to 500 seconds like the T1 ships.
Apart from not being able to shield tank the Gallente Blockade runner is just about perfact.

A whole extra week of testing will probably keep the bugs after patch at a minimum. I'm looking forward to the patch, and I'm also glad it was delayed if CCP feels that it needs more testing.

Will tech 1 mining crystals (and/or their bpos) be seeded on the market before the main patch deployment? Surely it's only a quick hotfix?
In the meantime, we're all stuck with modulated lasers that aren't as good as the older ones, and t2 BPOs just gathering dust (read "gathering ME/PE research").

Didnt you know, no BS means no testing.
No testing means no bugs... right?

Cap bug? They haven't even fixed the reload bug yet and I've been around a short 6 months. I wonder how old that one actually is.
I don't understand why all this ship hp increase rubbish and tech 2 indy stuff is being added so soon after Exodus. Especially when there are a) lots of bugs remaining and b) sections of Exodus still not available.

A new patch new ships fixes for projectiles and people are complaining
People sould start to understand the status of CCP in the world of EVE. CCP is the creator the one whose decisions are unquestionable the supreme being. So next time you decide to doubt the decisions made by your creator look around you and realize CCP devs are here to make life better not worse. A patch will mean bugs get fixed new ships do not mean new bugs get created nor do tweaks to weapons mean that more bugs are intorduced. So in the end expect bugs to be fixed issues to be solved and stop the crying, please.

Wow... being a player who has been here since beta... my only response is:
then followed by a question: Have you been here for any other patches?
Pathes ALWAYS mean there is a new bug. The running joke in the community is that we steal from peter to pay paul with these patches. Things that have worked forever suddenly get borked, EVERY PATCH. It never fails. Half the bugs that are in Shiva right now... Cap Bug, Bouncing, & etc are bugs that the players helped get rid of in Castor. It's like to make shiva they just started over with a beta copy of the code and remade the game. It has some of the oldest bugs in the game again and some new ones which make it more frustrating.
And trust me, this isn't crying... it's cold hard truth. Spend about 3 months around here and you would realize this....

Youve obviously never written code. With every additional line you add, you create the possibility of creating new bugs.
If it wasnt this way, and code always did what it was designed and expected to, youd never see any bugs.

CCP are a company I pay 11 quid to a month to play Eve. Eve has bugs, as does any software. Bugs need to be fixed. Fixes should be paramount over new features.
I really enjoy Eve and as such there's a silent congratulations to CCP in anything I write about the game; but I reserve the right to complain when things don't work properly.

Please. Pretty please even:
Has the bouncing been fixed?
Single most annoying/destructive bug in the game. I don't even really play the game currently due to this bloody thing.
If its not, then please make this your top priority. Its a game-ruining bug for everyone.
