So if I understand this correctly, in order to create a jump clone you have to have +8.0 standing with the owner of the station in which you are creating the clone.
Then you can fly away, and jump to that clone from another station, right?
Then after 24 hours....can you jump back to the other station? What if you don't have +8.0 standing with the owner of the other station?

You or your corp need +8.

After you got the JC nobody cares about any standing. That's why you want to have a rorqual in your corp.

You need the standings to install a clone, not to use it. Also read the wiki.eveonline.com article for jump clones to make sure you understand what they really are and really do. Most people seem to misunderstand them at a fundamental level at first.

Edited by: Lady Googa on 24/01/2011 19:45:40 Thanks so much for the info guys, I really appreciate it. I'm amazed that a ship can actually hold a clone vat bay! AWESOME! :D
So if I understand this correctly, implants don't follow you. So I can have different jump clones with different implants, for different optimizations! (One with all +5 implants, one with pirate/pvp implants, etc). Also, when I create my jump clones, do they each have a certain amount of skill points that they can retain? If so, when I die, will I jump into the clone with the highest amount of skill points that can be held?

This is EXACTLY what I was talking about when I said to read the wiki article. You misunderstand completely what they are and how they work. Read the article, then come back and ask questions.

Correct. Originally by: Lady Googa Also, when I create my jump clones, do they each have a certain amount of skill points that they can retain? If so, when I die, will I jump into the clone with the highest amount of skill points that can be held?
This you have wrong. You have N-jump clones, but you only have one medical clone, which will be activated when you get podded. If you jump you take ALL skill points with you and you will further train your skills (you will have to pause your training for jumping , though).

Thank you Lutz! I understand it now. There's two different types of clones, Jump Clones, and Medical Clones. That makes the issue of where you come back after getting podded so much easier.
and mkmin if you get that frustrated over newbie questions, maybe you shouldn't be answering questions in the newbie sub-forum. Different people learn in different ways. I happen to be the type who learns by asking questions and getting answers from real people. In short, bugger off.
