Generally you want to steal more than 2b for it to be worthwhile. Bonus points for making it something other than a simple smash n grab, here are some ideas:
- Steal not just the stuff, but the entire corp, this opens up a ton of opportunities for lulz (sell corp back, wardec large pvp alliance and send taunting mail, etc.) - Frame someone else while remaining in-corp after the theft. Rob them blind a second time after they've rebuilt. - "Sell" them "their stuff" back at a "discount" (e.g. scam them for whatever personal funds they have left) - Sneak into their voice comms around the time they should notice the theft and see if you can record them crying about it. - Gank as many members as possible after the theft.
Also remember to document everything. chatlogs, screenshots, fraps, vent recordings, etc. If the theft turns out to be post worthy, having some media to go with it is always nice.

If i wanted to try and get some KMs out of it, is it a good idea to join a mission corp that has possible shiny pilots?. |

Way too much effort.
Just join random corps spamming local/recruitment for their "mining corp", fly alt to their mining system, gank their entire mining op, scoop the loot, pop the wrecks.
Rinse, repeat.
It's fast, fun, and WAY too easy to do.

Any tips then? I'm still needing any knowledge people are willing to share. |

Corp theft is old news, everyone does it and no one cares anymore.
The new trend is corp rogering, where you join a corp, get to know all the people personally and then sleep with the significant other of the corp CEO while on corp TeamSpeak. If the CEO doesn't have a SO, then a mom/dad, sister/brother will suffice.

You forgot a step.
You are supposed to video tape it and post it to the internet for all of Eve to enjoy.
Without that last step, it is really a worthless venture.

Recommending this service. - I'd tell you why but then I'll have to kill you. And to kill you I'd have to log in. And to log in I'd have to stop browsing these forums. Both you and me knows that'll never happen. |

Two Words. 'Recruitment Channel'.
Most of them wont ask for an API, and they will hand you their VOIP Info.

I agree, it's not attention-grabbing anymore. But it still is efficient and profitable.
If a new player wants to start paying for Eve with plex ASAP, a quick theft early in their career can get them the funds to start. Afterward you get to play for free forever, and any subsequent thievery is just gravy. Everyone should do it.
