If the Gallente can be traced back to the French, the Civire must have a heavy German bloodline, with all the square jawed faces. (Although some pull it off very well.)

Not complaining though, we still look great! I think Civire has a more stylish and sophisticated basic look about them than the average bloodline!

If you look at the general toons without their hair or with shorter hair and focus on the jaw part, they tend to be a bit manly. Or is it just me that somehow sees it?
Definitely, the Civire face is definitely not "round" unlike Irani Firecam's.

Civire damsels have well pronounced facial bones, you'd expect people like Trinity (Matrix), Scarlett Johansson and 7 of 9 to be Civire.
It gives them a distinguished look and they have well shaped eyes (though not as big as Gallente's), they would be great models IRL. On average they look more sophisticated and intelligent than sensual or sexy imo.
It sometimes takes a while to get them well balanced in sculpturing though and sometimes you just have to be lucky when randomly pulling parts of the face. It's also a bit dependent on how you use the sculptor, there's a lot of non-intuitive functionality like making the chin broader or thinner, moving the cheekbones up and down and such. After doing 6 characters and already playing with the editor on the test server months ago I'm still learning.

Actually, I find myself totally agreeing with you. It is because when I first saw the Civire's template, the first thing that came into my mind was they do have a model look. Having said that, most distinctive female models, somehow have a bit of manly face
My toon took me 4 hours this morning to get an acceptable photo shoot. Overall, I love the experience of creating a new character. It is quite fun even though you haven't played the game (not getting pass the character screen). LOL.

Civire are difficult to work with in the CC; someone said we all look like boy scouts and it's up to subtle amounts of makeup, posing and expression to hide it.

No, not your face surprisingly but most of the Civire's that I have seen do seem to have those traits. It could be your lighting and photo size. If you have a less brighter lighting and a more larger photoshoot that you mostly see your face only, maybe you might see the difference.
Either that or I like men with girly face or vice-versa ...

I think you look more like Kylie Minogue than anything
Civire are difficult to work with in the CC; someone said we all look like boy scouts and it's up to subtle amounts of makeup, posing and expression to hide it.
I think you said it best Rawr that female Civire toons do look like boy scouts.

No, there is nothing wrong. It is just other toons are better looking especially when you compare them on a like for like basis. Female toons to female toons, and Civire looking like boy scouts seem a bit unnatural.
Anyway, I am happy with my toon now. CBA to spend another 4 hours on it. Maybe I might fondle with the character maker for my alts but spending more than 20 hours or so on Jenny is just way too much. Sighs, 8 alts to go.

Some do, some don't. Jenny Cameron came out very nice and you can't see it at all. I couldn't really avoid it with the look I was going for, though.

You're one of the people whose new portrait still looks like the old one, and you still look very recognizable. I think it's really well done (and not masculine at all)!!
Jenny Cameron is the 1st ever character I made in EVE. I messed up the last creation session because I didn't know you can move your character up- and downwards just by right clicking on the background and dragging!

Rawr, again you are right. I should have continued from where I left earlier that most Civire look like boy scouts instead of all. Jenny Cameron and Amy Stewart come out nicely probably because of their lighting, angle and size. I guess pony tail helps too.
It only turns to be boy scoutish is when you have short hair. I think it is the number 9 or 10 template and generally have darker lighting or complexion plus larger mug shot on the face with the intent of emphasising it.
I have two examples of my potraits. Take a look at jenny14 and jenny15. I think you can see what I mean. Also, coincidentally your hair style looks like jenny14 that looks a bit like a boy scout in the first place. I am guessing that Civire look like boy scouts when they have certain toon profile.
