For anybody still whining about the dokkens and all the other problems. It¦s working as intended(see DevBlogVid). Either stop whining, and adapt or stop whining and ignore the whole damn thing.
My hunch is that this time next week all but the most inconvenient incursions will be ignored. ______________ Mal-¦Appears we got here just in a nick of time. What does that make us?¦ Zoe-`Big damn heroes, sir.` Mal-¦Aint we just.¦ |

My guess is CCP won't be particularly happy if Incursions get ignored due to a variation on the lofty trick (which they did fix).
The whole idea of Incursions is that random people would have to fleet up together to defeat a common enemy. If they can't do that reliably then it's doomed to failure, or at least being marginalised.
Then again CCP haven't touched FW since they released it with a big fanfare so who knows.

Yeah, exactly my thinking.
As I¦m not seeing the people making corps and alliances only to go for Incursions the pessimist in me is winning. ______________ Mal-¦Appears we got here just in a nick of time. What does that make us?¦ Zoe-`Big damn heroes, sir.` Mal-¦Aint we just.¦ |

The problem with Incursion is it was made from a 0.0 Corp/Alliance point of view and tested on SISI where uber ships and modules cost 100 ISK, oh, and the people there are actually there to test and listen to the GM's, in other words they are organised! Now move it to the ôReal Worldö throw in a few thousand people logging in and out all day and what do you have?
Answer... Chaos!
To overly complicated CCP, pretty much like the rest of EVE to be honest.

From another thread a Dev said "CCP is already looking at this".
So the fun for the guys who know about RRing will be over soon (tm), i suppose.

they need more sites smaller corps can run
i did a larger site last night and had to wait 30 min for the fleet to x up, then another 20 min for travel time, then the time to do the site, then it was "ok lets take a break for 10 min" etc
the more people you get together the slower it runs and i don't really want to spend 3 hours doing sites, half of that time waiting for someone else

I already have an idea of how to use this to grief and steal everybody's expensive mods.

I guess they did bring pvp elements into pve content because thats how it normally takes to organize 0.0 fleets.

And in Star Trek: Online during beta when they finally got the crystaline entity working (rather than sulking in the corner of the map) it stomped all over people. I'm pretty sure the first people ever to poke their heads in to a WoW raid got it chopped off as well.
That was until people figured out how to do it. At which point the CE was farmed, raids were farmed and Incursions will eventually be farmed.
