Edited by: Razor Vision on 04/02/2011 10:51:23 Edited by: Razor Vision on 04/02/2011 10:50:04 I sold a character on an account that still has about 4 months or so left on it.
I plan on training a character on that account purely for the sake of selling the character once the account time is up.
With learning skills removed now and attribute points much higher than the past, this leaves me with many more options as to what a "perfect" starter toon may or may not be. (since I'm not forced to spend the first two months maxing all learning skills)
So, with that being said, What does the Eve Community think on what would be the most valuable skills to train for a 4 month training plan? (thus gaining the most profit possible).
EDIT: Question 2: Is it worth using a remap to gain more SP or should I save both remaps for the sale? Would the 2 remaps be worth more isk than the extra SP gained from 4 months of training, in other words?
Thanks!

Save the remaps. No idea on which skills would be valuable for a 4 months character.

I see. Well 4 months is approximately 4-5m SP. If that helps.

Try to get as close as possible to core competency elite. That will be useful for any pilot that intend to undock.

Yeah I was thinking about the Core Competency skills too. They have the advantage of not pushing the character in a certain direction (other than "undocking"); I'm not sure if character buyers would value some ship/weapon skills mixed in (probably not as much).

if an alliance....most places I have been the sc/titan burnouts let these go for alliance discount. Still not cheap...but better than open market most times (if I needed a babysitter open market be the last place I'd look, and I'd rather wait out on an alliance burnout for a bit before that tbh).

You could train an almost perfect station trader in 4 months. Plug in +3 implants and use a remap, because the character is unlikely to be trained by the new owner. If you have some timo on your hand you could improve its Caldari standing with another account running missions and sharing the rewards ( don't change any other standings and don't start unless you give it at least 4.0 or so to Caldari Navy). Keep the corp history clean.
Another option would be to train a science and manufacturing alt with a basic skillset for people who just need a helper for their main industry character. Again I'd use the remap because it's unlikely to be trained by the new owner. Freighter alt would be the same. If you want to make a combat char safe the remap.
