Edited by: Dr BattleSmith on 05/02/2011 02:02:16 Why so many threads with negative feedback being locked?
Increasingly with each day it seems CCP is on the war path of public relations trying to shutdown any revelation of the *fact* that they aren't spending much time developing EveOnline anymore.
Closing threads like this really doesn't give me confidence, seems like damage control, seems to give more credance to the suggestion that CCP considers Eve to be finished.
Please reassure me, with the signals being sent by CCP it seems you're deciding to move onto other things and leave Eve to slowly die in your wake.
This style of forum moderation seems a bit like The Wizard of Oz, don't pay attention to the guy behind the curtain, all our customers are happy.
edit: Yes that is a lot of "seems".... With CCP spending so much time hiding what they're doing, seems is all that is left for us.

They lock threads from people who ***** and moan, not legitimate threads with valid complaints, unless there are already 50 threads on the topic.
No, if you want to see that kind of censorship, there are other MMO's where if you even breath a bad word about their game on their forums, your thread mysteriously disappears and your account gets banned. CCP is nowhere near this bad.

Not liking the fact that CCP has taken a 2 year holiday from Eve is not a valid criticism?
Suggesting they dedicate themselves to excellence in the product that got them where they are today is somehow wrong?

Please cite a source for your fact. I prefer something from their earnings report or taxes where they break down the number of hours and assign it to each project. What's that? You don't have that information? Then you don't know that they aren't working on Eve.

àalso, they are often closed because there are already official threads on the topic where that negative feedback might actually do some good. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

To actually believe that, you must be living under a very big rock with some rather large amounts of tin-foil hat-age.
Or you just don't log in anymore and get all your info from Kugu.
Either way, I give this troll a 0/10, needs much more polish.

Yes. 124 people working on EVE certainly qualifies as "taking a 2 year holiday". ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

So EVE gets 92 devs and everything else gets 32.
Yes, CCP doesn't care about EVE
edit: Before you say Incarna isn't EVE development, well yes it is since it takes place in the same EVE universe we enjoy now.

No, they're just doing what typical forum moderation entails.
Don't have a bagillion threads on the same topic. Don't let people just crap all over the forums because their panties are twisted for whatever reason. Don't let the boards fill up with threads like these.
You have the privilege of having some of the most relaxed forum moderators on any MMO forum out there. Trust me, most of the **** that gets posted here would not fly on 90% of the other games out there.

I heard a rumour that EvE population has been dropping for quite some time and the online count is being buffered.
Not sure if its true but you can google it. One thing I have noticed is the forums are quite slow these days, like theres not as many people participating on forums as there used to be.
Could be wrong.

I'd have to disagree. They allowed my thread about the subject to continue unmolested.
Instead of demanding answers you should probably just try and discuss it in a calm and somewhat rational manner. They aren't going to announce any new information in some random persons thread, anyway. We'll have to wait for fanfest or a devblog.

Of the three major changes in the last 18 months that Liang listed (PI, character creator, and Incursions) only Incursions deals with my internet spaceships. And it's a PvE update to a PvP game, so I'm really not interested in it.
Now, if we go back *24* months, we have Dominion. I won't even extend the courtesy to CCP of calling Dominion an expansion, because it wasn't. It was a disaster.

Well the new neocom is on hold until improvements are made but to add onto the list. Discussion with CCP about nodes and bugs they found.
Read that, sorry for the partial cross posting but im trying to make a point that ccp you are working on the game really hard and that whiners deserve to have their threads locked.

Well blasters or Hybrids threads are not closed, but they get no answer.
For the job donne in the last 18months i think that about 5min would be enough to say something like :"stfu and train something else." Or: "we are looking at the problem and try to find the solution"
It took me less than 15sec to do it but i will not ask them to be so skilled

Lol. Two year vacation... That just proves you are a troll. Also when it comes to people it doesn't always mean that more is good. Small groups are usually more effective. Specially when most of the content is done (sounds, graphics). Also the other teams at CCP also contribute to the overall knowledge. So just because not everyone is directly working on eve they still help it. Also sometimes you get those heureka moments when you are doing something else.
CCP doesn't lock threads just "because". Mostly all the locked ones had good reasons to be locked.

I invite you to go look at that list of features, bug fixes, and enhancements I posted earlier. I was pretty careful to only list the things that they've done for internet spaceships since "18 months" rage. Also, we as players said "DON'T DO ANYTHING BUT FIX LAG" -- and wouldn't you know it but they're doing a damn fine job of it.
