Can you fix that, please? My idea:
- Add a "Crowd Limit" to Jita to prevent too many people from entering the system, and thus reduce lag
- Improve the Optimization of various placesvand aspects of the game
- Give Jita as few details as possible, and make some stuff slightly cheaper in other places so that people don't go to Jita as often -- As an Amarr Defector, I chose to become a Mercenary and Industrialist. I also have one goal in mind: Create a new age of peace and prosperity for all four empires. |

It is not, it is actually quit stupid as you want to break with some of the groundrules of a sandbox game. It won't fly, it dies here. NED-Clan Meer dan een corp! |

Remove freighters from the game, remove jump bridges and halve cyno ranges, then install lowsec barriers between the main Empire factions!
As it will be much harder to haul goods to and from Jita, trade and industry will be done more in situ, reducing the load on Jita and promoting the development of many minor local hubs.

This idea is pretty useful. You just won't admit it because you are scared that I will rise to the top and take your place. And I don't want to break the ground rules of a sandbox game, I just want to make Jita less of an attraction to players and thus make it less crowded and thus make the game more playable for everyone. Like the next person I'm quoting, for example.

You don't have to go that far, buddy. Now I just want something that is simple to do. The lag is a serious issue. A few days ago, the lag in Jita made the game unplayable and I had to stay for almost an entire week ebfore the lag was reduced enough for me to play the game again without performance issues, but a few minutes later when I left the station, Jita became crowded again and it started lagging like crap again. -- As an Amarr Defector, I chose to become a Mercenary and Industrialist. Edited by: Zombie Jeebus on 09/02/2011 21:28:54 There is already a limit on Jita. Once you it reaches max occupancy you can't jump/log into jita.
They've been doing this for a while now. The changes to contracts should help as well.
CCP doesn't price goods the players do. If you are willing to move for your goods, often just a couple of jumps, lots of things are cheaper than jita. People, including me, tend to be lazy. I would rather pay a little extra and buy everything I need in 1 stop, than save a few mil isk and have to make several extra jumps gathering everything up. This is why trade hubs exist.. so you can do one stop shopping.
Yes jita lags a bit, but I don't get some of the complaints I see. I have DIALUP ffs and I can have my jita alt logged in and it doesn't affect the other 1-3 clients I have up at the same time. The only time jita is really laggy is is when you first load the market or when you undock. If you are smart and have all brackets/ships hidden from overview then even the undock lag is minimal.
EDIT: If you hate jita lag enough you'll pay more to buy from a different place or fly to one of the other trade hubs.. there are others after all and they don't lag as bad as jita.
This is not the alt you are looking for. |

Been there.... but you just canŠt privilege people for being there first (even tho in battles it works too)

Become a producer and sell your stuff slightly above production cost...... there you go.
anyways... I prefer the monster lag being at a known place than wondering around

So your playstyle requires you to be in Jita to play the game?

The Price differences between systems are controlled by Players, not by CCP.
THe only way to end the superhub is increase the risk/difficulty of logistics into/out of it. While I like the idea of imparting lowsec travel between the empires, it really wouldn't necessarily solve the problem.

Edited by: Misanthra on 09/02/2011 23:05:42 jita has a traffic cop....log off in it then relog back in later US primetime and see what happens. Its a free clone move because you get 2 choices: log off or click on yes to jita is too busy, shall we move you to a nearby system.
Try selling in the surrounding systems. Some enterprising people set up markets there, some like me hit them up. On my jita runs I see what they got there. Think of those outside systems like the mom and pop vegetable/fruit stands you see on the side of the road in rural areas as you are driving to the big city. Hell a few times I shopped there and not jita because of good pricing.
Or go to rens/hek/dodixie/amarr...is more than one hub in this game. Limit yourself to jita, you are limiting your isk making. Yes flying a charon to them sucks if not from around there. returns are worth it though if you do your market research.

Dumb ideas.. You can have my freighter when you pry it from my cold dead corpse. Increased cyno ranges would be welcome. ...and as discussed in the past, low sec barriers in high sec would not be a good idea and would accomplish nothing positive.
