It's missing or i fail to see it, ether way it would make for awesome eyecandy while warping.

When I warp I see blue ahead of me and red behind me already.

Since we move faster than light while warping, we shouldn't be able to see anything behind, not just a red light. Everything that isn't 50 degrees back from the sideways should be invisible. Anything that is between 50 degrees to 85 degrees should be distorted.
We should also go out of warp with a visible flash since we reflect and re-reflect the light while warping.

Include your dxdiag like you do with bugs, it could be some setting on your graphics card perhaps. In fact this might be better as a bug report really. I've always seen blue/red shift while warping. ------------------------------------------------ Quafe is people! |

We don't actually travel faster than light, we warp instead. Yeah our speed is much higher when you take into account the distance we move between in the 3rd dimension, but we don't travel the entire distance.
What we see are camera drone providing a reasonably logical representation of what we 'expect' so we don't go insane in the darkness of space. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

That picture is inaccurate. Since the normandy is behind whatever the camera is mounted on, all light reflecting off the hull of the normandy should be red-shifted. The whole picture should be red. The Adelaide meet, be there! |

We can warp through solid objects, and you're worried about a little inaccuracy in the color of the light you shouldn't see anyway?
I have three words for you:
Suspension of Disbelief.
It's a lot easier if you don't fuss about the details of an artificial world. It's like *****ing that Bugs Bunny is immune to gravity because he "never studied law". --Vel

I would be more worried if we couldn't, since that's what warping allows. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

Rule of cool > Realism. The Normandy there looks just incredibly epic.

It used to look a whole lot better than it does now, though, so your request isn't entirely lost.
These days, it's more like there's a coloured blob at each end of the warp tunnel ù in the old days, it looked more like the world turned increasingly blue/red.
Then again, if we really want to see proper shifts, we should go for thisà ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Time to recall/inform that according to EVE lore, NOTHING WE SEE (OR LISTEN) INGAME IS REAL, rather it is a projection of the capsule's UI into our brains so we capsuleers can interpretate sensors data and make decissions while the capsule manages the ship.
We, me druggos, are submerged into goo within a pod within a capsule within the entrails of armored behemots which, without the capsule, would require hundreds to crew them, and yet the obey us like good puppies.
This is why each now and then everything appears to change, like if we were getting planet upgrades, better gates or new textures for ships... no, me druggos, it's all in our brains, being fed by our capsule, while we turn the litle cloneless fleshies into dust along with their toy ships...
We are demigods and reality is whatever pleases to us.
(BTW, warp is FTL. Light requires about 8 minutes to travel 1 A.U.)

Meh....
wormhole travel is thought to be instant buy those physicists who believe it possible. Frankly the shift from one spot to the other should be like crossing a gateway. The effect entering WH space is actually far more believable.
