After my N'th reinstall and with all odd 'your settings are screwed' situations inbetween I hereby suggest a 'save settings on server' feature. All your settings will be uploaded to a central storage and you can 'restore' from there. You can also devide the settings so that overview are in their own category and shareable with corp and stuff.. Like the fittings. Restore like 5 versions backward would also be cool.
Also, maybe the dev team can use the settings to check what players do to get the best experience. Maybe they could look into features 90% are disabling (there may be bugs in it, or performance speedbumps)
Go, go!! I expect this implemented by yesterday

You can export your overview settings, I'm pretty sure some large corps provide overview settings to perform optimally. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

I just copy my setting folders onto my external HDD, some are found in the CCP folder in My Documents and some are in Local Settings. That allows me to back them up and take them onto another machine if I need to. ------------------------------------------------ Quafe is people! |

Pretty much everyone here wants to do this, it's just a bit of a mountain of refactoring to do it all. We started chipping away at it though recently.

+1, would be nice to have a "restore all settings" button manual save and restore (copy files) is possible, but far away from comfy :)

It would be handy to have settings server side, admittedly, but I do like having a copy backed up somewhere so if you do ever get around to storing them server side, don't leave us without the option to copy the information to a backup location ourselves. Cheers. |
