The new dev blog just made me cream in my pants. Thank you CCP, for listening to your player base.
If you haven't read the dev blog I HIGHLY suggest doing so, or else.

Certainly a welcome blog! As long as I have played this game, the players have been clamouring for the "small things" to be fixed and for CCP to forgoe their usually intense and deadlined schedule of "new features" (they bring more new players than polish, has it been 18 months already?)
I'm sure we'll be referred to the appropriate thread in due course however.

How about making it so militia members get kicked out of the militia if they engage in acts of piracy?
Problem solved.

Bet Akita T is giddy for having his thread recognized in the Dev Blog. Mission Accomplished.
It is nice to see that CCP is finally realizing that majority of the player base get more excited about things getting fixed or redone then new stuff. Just saying.

What if I want to be a pirate and kill the dirty Caldari? In all seriousness, CCP is watching This Thread so it would be a good idea to post your ideas/annoyances in there.

Will these fixes be an entire expansion of awesome fixes, or just little patches here and there?

CCP gets torn apart in the forums a lot for the little broken than have gone unfixed for so long, for things that aren't exactly broken, but could be better, and for things that should be intuitive but just aren't.
This is is a wonderful step in the right direction. Big shiny patches are nice, we all love them and we hope they keep coming, but they aren't worth jack if the game is viewed as unplayable and/or outdated. Good job CCP

Lovely stuff, particular the cans. Now a big shiney RED led above my shield incidations when I'm warp jammed - and I probably would send all the dev team some red roses; chocolates as well if clicking on the RED led would target the jamming git.

^ hell yeah. Honestly a moddable (sp?) UI would make me shed tears of joy. I know it's hated here, but the single greatest thing about WoW is the UI. You can practically turn it into whatever you want, its amazing.
Customization is an important trait for a UI to have.

This is a fix?!? How does this stop greifers with normal sec status from shooting a gang mate to pwn the logis with concordokken?

Hrmm. So if you shoot a non corp gang mate in an incursion gang in high sec only you get blown up and not the logis? Is this what you got out of that statement? If so then cool and emorage put on hold.

That is it exactly, yes. The problem was arising because aiding a criminal made you a criminal too, so if a new rep cycle landed on the criminal you would be flagged. CCP have removed the ability to rep ANYONE with a GCC, so the new rep cycle will not occur (you'll probably get a message saying "You cannot activate Large Remote Armor Repair System II on [blah blah] because he is a criminal", or somesuch) when the new cycle comes around, and your reppers wil shut off.

Sweet. This totally makes my incursion noob corp idea viable.
Thank you ccp for putting playability and fun ahead of juvenile angst and emorage. 07

Wait wait.. I'm confused? Are these fixes coming in the next expansion? As in this Summer?
If so.. What happened to the first implementations of Incarna coming this Summer?
If not.. Great, the more fixes the better!

Actually, they clarified that: it works the same for both criminals (i.e. people with a GCC) and outlaws (-5s and below). You cannot rep either one in highsec after that "fix" goes through. The problems with legitimate remote support to either criminals or outlaws still remain, though, so it's more of a hack than a proper fix. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Nice, it seems that polish is back on the agenda, how strange.
There's still a very annoying thing going on. If I check info on someone and then check info on his corp it almost always (probably due to earlier choices) starts with opening the standings section resulting in massive lag for 1-3 seconds (if it's a big corp) where the client is hammering the database for info. If I WANT to see their standings I'll click it, thank you very much. This is such a waste of time and database calls and also very annoying.
Why not have info windows open at a standard section with just plain text?

Edited by: LordInvisible on 11/02/2011 11:14:28 Dont want to play Devil's Advocate, but: That is it?
I dont see a single "game breaking" fix or adjustment. All visual stuff. Where is hybrids fix? POS fix? Stations with invisible walls around it fix? Lowsec is still empty and boring space fix?
Even OP from thread mentioned in blog had more needing stuff to fix: * "I wish the use/trash options on the menu would have more distance between them" * "I'd love if the timer for switching between ships was shorter than 30 seconds" * "I hate that nebula background images are so low resolution, I see nasty colorbands and blocks on my monitor at high resolutions" * "I don't like waiting 5-10 minutes for the remote asset list to reload" * "I'd like it if when I create a fleet I'd be made squad commander by default" * "I want more font options" * "It would be great if I could select a default showinfo tab" * "The blinking of the character sheet icon after claiming certificates annoys me, why do I have to open it again for it to stop blinking, I was just there" * "The <location> turret position on the <shipname> model annoys me because <reason>" * "Why do I have to stop training a skill when I clonejump, can't it pause and resume automatically?"
I dont know, i think CCP just rerouted our attention to OMG, we are fixing stuff, so they can use more ppl on stuff like DUST. I mean, dont want to get rude or anything, but if changes in blog took more then 10 ppl to program in 10 days, CCP needs better staff.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: "For me EvE wasn't that much fun, many ppl refer to it as a nicely designed database front-end and that |

I would just give up on that idea, I did years ago. CCP has already stated they have no intention of even touching the POS coding.
