I wanted to send a buddy invite to my friend who was interested in EVE Online, but it appeared that he had to make an account first so that there would be someone to invite. But when I sent the invite, it sent to his email, and the message in his email told him to make a new account. But he already has an active trial account that he wants to keep. How does he apply the invite to his current account? -á"The Mittani: Hated By Badposters i'm strangely comfortable with it" -Mittens |

Unfortunately, he cannot. He needs to make a new account.
However, if you offered to share the PLEX reward of a buddy invite, it might be good incentive for him to restart. |

Tell him the (max) 21 days training isn't worth holding onto when he could make 200 mil just by subscribing.
And if he REALLY cares, he can give all his stuff to you to give back on his new character. He can even have the same name if he gives you all his gear, then meatgrinds his current character then creates the new account. |

One problem with making a new character is that it won't let him delete his old account and he'd have to make a new account which doesn't have the account name he wanted. -á"The Mittani: Hated By Badposters i'm strangely comfortable with it" -Mittens |

Account name isn't all that important, providing he remembers it, ingame identity is what he should worry about which if he meat grinds his current character the name will become available again for him to use when he creates a new account. There's no limit to the number of accounts attached to an e-mail address either. Or if there is, I haven't reached it yet. |
