See it yourself,
even EA confirmed it
Originally by: http://www.ea.com/crysis-2/blog/crysis-leak Crytek has been alerted that an early incomplete, unfinished build of Crysis 2 has appeared on Torrent sites. Crytek and EA are deeply disappointed by the news. We encourage fans to support the game and the development team by waiting and purchasing the final, polished game on March 22. Crysis 2 is still in development and promises to be the ultimate action blockbuster as the seriesĘ signature Nanosuit lets you be the weapon as you defend NYC from an alien invasion. Piracy continues to damage the PC packaged goods market and the PC development community.
http://www.youtube.com/user/Crysis2Leak1 the leak is available on your trusted torrent site . (no seriously there is a torrent available but i wont link it, GOOGLE IT YOURSELF!)
so... when will we see a DUST 514 leak or Incarna leak?

last time happen to EA it was sim3... and then months later it was leaked it was on purpose. By releasing a limited version of the game they increased interest in sim3, by letting people pirate an unfinished version.

To be fair the original crysis was a decent FPS despite its primirary selling point being high end graphics. There are bad and unoriginal FPS's out there, start looking at Modern Warfare for starters. EVE is like the "Fisherman's Friend" of MMOs. If it's too hard, you are too weak. |

will crysis 2 require 8 i16 cpu's running in paralel, either 2 crossfire'd x10850 or 2 SLI'ed NV 1200GTX with 64gb ram and 5PB harddrive space to run in medium settings at 30fps or do we need to upgrade our systems? ---

The original crysis needed an uber high end machine to get a playable framerate on the highest settings only because it was not coded to be efficient. It was coded to sell new hardware.

I'd have some sympathy but I have to email EA every time I reinstall Crysis from steam because of the ******ed DRM.
Conversation with EA:
'I need another install unlock' 'No it's not a new computer, I upgraded' 'No I own three computers, I upgrade them all' 'Crysis is a good benchmark, I install it every time I upgrade'

Crytek does not make good games imho, and EA was forced to pay $30million for two class action suits for 100 hour mandatory working weeks.
I'm not condoning using leaked software, but those two firms deserve a little kick in the rear once in a while.
Anyone remember the demonstration they showed of the original Crysis? What the blazes was that machine running? Quad-Xeon with a 4xSLI Quadro and 24 GB of RAM?

I would disagree, at the time Farcry came out it was up against Doom 3 and Half Life 2, both were released after Farcry and both, in my opinion, were inferior.
I'm not saying there were bad I just enjoyed Farcry more than the other 2, but I will admit I was disappointed with Crysis and Farcry 2, but like Doom 3 and HL2 they were good games, just maybe they could've been better.

HL2 was like playing in an action film. It was that visceral with depth. COD MW2 to me was the same. Crysis was a decent fps with super shiny graphics but the single player story line was like a b-movie.

Hmm, comparing Farcry with HL-2 is something we can debate - but you win with the Doom 3 comment. However, just because Far cry was better than Doom 3 doesn't mean that Crytek make good games; it just means that they can join the thousands of other companies that have made a game which is better than Doom 3.
In my opinion, if I woke up in the morning to find that I had picked up Half-life 2 in a nite club, I'd probably take pictures and send them to my friends for bragging rights. If I woke up to find Farcry in my bed, I'd silently sneak far away and cry - only to return when I know that all of the food in my apartment would have been consumed by the thing and left in search of more - and just hope that none of my friends had a camera the night before.

I've been reading on some other forums about this and...
What has been leaked is not just an unfinished game, but all of the dev tools which no-one should ever get their hands on. I'm talking about 3DS Max plugins, Maya plugins, photoshop plugins, level editors, audio editors with compression tools, 3rd party plugins for lip-synching, cinematic tools, dedicated server tools - not to mention lots of detailed files regarding how outsourcing teams are supposed to report bugs internally.
I'm shocked.
Whoever leaked this will never work in the industry again.

Far Cry 1 was as good as HL-2 imo and the game play had the same depth, sure the story was less creative but everything else about it was great.
Hell you could even argue it was a lot better than many of the other shooters shoveled onto the market in the last seven years.

I have to say that the thing that makes Crysis good is having NORIO WAKAMOTO (also known as GOD HIMSELF AND EMPEROR OF BRITTANIA) voicing the nanosuit's AI. ---

MW:2 was crap imo compared to MW:1 in terms of single player. They just basically took the original concepts and plopped a half thought out plot on top of it. The pretty much just replaced MW:1's story with whatever the nonsense they came up with for MW:2. MW:1 was a much better story.
Multiplayer MW:2 blew MW:1 out of the water. Black Ops is a MUCH better multiplayer experience if you can play without horrible stuttering after 2-3 matches. Failarch is fail at making games...I can play Crysis on pretty high settings with no real impact to performance, yet I can't play BLOPS multiplayer, which has a ****tier engine, on medium settings without the damn thing going to **** 2 or 3 matches in.
I got the first 2 Crysis games, I won't be buying the new one. I loved both Crysis games but I hate EA and their ****ed up DRM. I flat out refuse to buy any other games from EA. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

Pretty, but does everyone who makes these trailers go to the same school or something? There was absolutely nothing in terms of originality in those shots (the right-to-left slo-mo bullet shot, srsly?), and wtf kind of dialogue was that? Tell me, honestly - if a parasitic virus is eating you alive, are you going to hold your stomach and say calmly 'oh my god, they are eating me alive' or are you going to scream at the top of your voice 'HELP ME' with a tone of sincere desperation?
The music was also trailers-by-numbers fanfare rubbish which I've come to loath from almost every summer blockbuster movie, mostly the ones directed by Michael Bay. (that's not an attack on Michael, just the music)
The title text work was place-holder fodder which you can buy for $20 or composite in AE in 20 minutes, depending on how much you care about your compositions. And if no one believes me, challenge me to do it and I'll have something for you 20 minutes later minus compression/render/upload time.
Yes, I'm ranting - but Crysis 2 deserved a much better trailer than this trash, especially after what's happened with this leak.

Maybe...
Just maybe, the game isn't as good as everyone makes it out to be.
"Nomad" and "Psycho" are words you will not hear or see anywhere in Crysis 2, for example. That it's being released on consoles aswell will seriously hurt the PC game. You'll see what i mean when it's released.

So I got the multiplayer demo off steam over the weekend. Not so sure I like it so much.
It's pretty kewl, only problem is it just doesn't "feel" right. It feels like Crysis multiplayer I guess, but I didn't like that either. The motion blur is irritating and movement isn't as precise as I'm used to. I turned off the mouse smoothing garbage, but it still doesn't react the way you would expect it too. The biggest problem with it though is the typical Crysis multiplayer problem of having to unload an entire clip into someone most of the time to actually kill them. It's REALLY hard to pick out anyone with the way motion blur and the environment interact...and of course the stealth mode on your suit. If any of you have played Section 8, it plays really similar.
It's pretty, and it's kinda fun, but I don't think the multiplayer of it is my cup o tea. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

Crysis 1 - dense and complex environment (jungle), good view distance
Crysis 2 - block buildings , with motion blur to cover junky detail in distance (so consoles could run it)
But those two are just games, next gen Crytek engine is versatile enough, expecting community made maps will be more fun to play
