Before i start i just want to say that im a big fan of the chick that runs this event. After she has spend a long time amassing hulks for the markets and getting other people to donate all the prizes the ganking is about to start
This is a thread for all of those who are not clearing the way for the hulk builders to make a killing. This time around Indies, haulers etc have been included in the kill zone this time.
Most of the people that i know are not buying ganking ships but building cheap indies as fast as they can. One it starts they will be flying to all the major hubs and letting themselves be destroyed. then when its all over they will have a month to leisurely take down expensive mission ships and there is little that anyone can do about it so if you gank expect to have no mission income for a month or to use substandard equipment. My advice is start building or buying cheap stuff to die in.
This way
The chick who organised this gets to sell her hulks overpriced
The gankers realised that they have been played all along
The rest of us get to pick up expensive faction loot for a month
Hell i might even start buying noctises for the trip
You may lose ships to full time pvp or non mission runners but for a few hundred thousand a pop its of little concern
Enjoy

Eh... what's the op going on about? I think he's claiming that mission ships (Missiongeddon?) are being targeted after Hulkageddon is complete?

I just think its funny as hell they tell the miners when its gonna happen. Its more funny that you tell them exactly when it starts and ends so you dont catch anyone unaware. Itd be great if they thought up a way to keep it going like a couple days later to catch all the poor guys that think its over lol This is the only place I can think of that piratey types arent lying and trying to catch ppl by surprise

I was thinking they should start today and surprise the hell out of people trying to stock up before it hits, but that's just me...

Yeah I know right? Theyd actually make an impact if they started it now and started killing all the guys trying to store up ore

Yeah I know right? Theyd actually make an impact if they started it now and started killing all the guys trying to store up ore and those that think theyre safe... lol safe
Oh man, the tears would flow. It's been so long in the planning though I doubt Helicity or anyone would or could modify it now. Pity though... it would really shake things up.

I think hes refering to Killrights. After Hulkageddon is over all the gankers will have an impressive list of people who have the right to kill them anywhere in high-sec w/o Concord interfearnce for 30 days. ---- --- ---

hey dude you are the only one that got the point.
No one is ganking in faction fitted battleships. Its afterwards when the hulk out is over and the gankers go back to missioning and then suddenly find themselves in a pod as people with kill rights turn up and say hello. All i can say is that i love this game not for the tears but for the idiots who never understand until its to late.

Question: How much does the selling price for ore and mining ships rise because of Hulkageddon?

and now the flaw in that little theory, 95% of the folks that are doing the ganking are doing so on alts trained up just for this event, so when they go back to mission running they biomass the ganking chars and start over due to the messed up sec stats, no semi intelligent person would gank in high sec and feck up the sec stats so much he coudlnt return on his main.

If I do take part in this one, then I shall be using this char which is already -10. I love the fact you think I hang around empire, in faction fit battleships, with that security status.

Last hulkageddon I remember the price of hulks actually dropped by ~15m during the event, and remained lower for quite a while. Probably due to speculators putting their stockpiled goods up for sale. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac" |
