CCP, why are you killing drone regions? In last path you nerfed Drone hordes (now you can't warp to 0 on it). Today you nerfed 10/10 drone complex. In 2 and 4 gate don't drop anymore boxes. Why??

Two Alliances: Legion of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (to the epeen) Death And Solar.
CCP's answer to UAXDeath and MACTEP and their cohorts instead of banning them (and their alliances) is instead to make the Bot Regions (formerly known as the Drone Regions) even more miserable for the honest players who live there. All 50 of them, sadly, left after ED/IRC lost Etherium Reach in the infamous 2009 "Dronelands War".
Why not take care of the Botlands Alliances THEN work on making the Drone Regions either as attractive as the rest of conquerable 0.0, or remove the distinction and have drone rats drop mods and carry bounties like everywhere else?

We may see a drop in PLEX purchases when the bots can't mine enough isk every month to buy their own subscriptions.

Oh, and they broke another Cosmic anomaly in last patch too (No respawn in Drone Horde whatsoever). Why would someone, who never run bots, suffer?

They've nerfed the drone regions a lot.
Many of their nerfs don't hurt the macros, as they can rat/mine 23 hours a day.
It just hurts regular players.
CCP doesn't take into account that the smaller alliances have to pay rent to the larger ones, the more they nerf the harder it gets. Which means fewer people in 0.0. They don't seem to understand how to truly fix the problem.
If you want to cut the legs out from macros you have to make things more plentiful. This makes it easier for the casual player (which most eve players are) to make the money necessary to do what they want. This then decreases the demand for the services macros provide thus making fewer of them.
It's like how they have the military and industry indexes set to levels that you'd almost have to be macros to maintain a level 5 (and I dare say if you got level 3 or 4 in Industry you might be a macro). They made the military even harder after the 1.1 Incursions patch where they made walls/buildings no longer count towards the total when prior to that they counted. Problem is the macros for the most part don't spend money on infrastructure and thus it didn't hurt the macros, it hurt the real players. Ice mining is sad to in that it is far more boring and time consuming than Ore mining but yet only counts half as much towards Industry index, why?
If they want a system to be able to support more people as they've said they need to lower the requirements for military and industry indexes. On top of this double the benefits of each level....more anoms and more belts each level. That's an easy way to make a system able to support more people. Double the static belts. Let ice count in full towards industry. Make some ice upgrades to install.
As for the greater distance doesn't bother me that much I stay at medium to long range anyway, as that's my preferred range. The long distance beteen gates once inside though is an inconvenience at times but not insurmountable.

Ice mining already does "count in full", as industry counts m3. Your mackinaw cannot mine as much as a hulk, so it contributes less. Fair and simple.

And as far as I'm aware this 'nerf' has been ingame for a long time already for other sites. Look at sansha 10/10 used to drop 5 total from 19th to 23rd iirc and for like 1 year or more they only drop the 23rd -------------

No it doesn't, each block of ice for purposes of the industry index counts as 500 m3 not 1000 m3, go out and test it.

I don't undestand! Why are your speaking about macros and Bots??? bots can't run 10/10 drone plexes! Why CCP nerf it???? Why you tell that drone region = bot region? Better use bot on Guristas becouse you don't need to loot them!

Good. Then the price will fall and they'll be more affordable for human players, so we'll see an increase in the number of actual people playing at the expense of the number of bots.
Not seeing a downside here.

Edited by: OutCast EG on 16/02/2011 14:37:59 The problem is, droneregions are not nearly competitive with bounty-regions income-wise.

Wait, all the other DED plexes were changed to only drop 1 OPE from the end overseer long ago instead of OPE from each room. Now same was done to drone 10/10, so what? |

I'd like to know the answer to this as well, I don't see any good reason to nerf any plex in the game at all, perhaps CCP can enlighten us...

You're kidding me right? You dont know why CCP would nerf any plex in the game at all?
Ill give you a reason, which you wont like of course:
The reason why CCP has nerfed some plexes, and probably should nerf them all is pretty simple - the amount made from running them is too much for the game to possibly sustain. What I mean by that is, in order for there to be a healthy functioning economy the number of ISK faucets have to be toned down a bit. My experience from running 10/10's is that I made billions upon billions, and I could do it with my main and my alts in most cases, and some times with one other person for extra DPS. I made many people billionaires in my corp in 0.0 through finding and running 10/10's pretty regularly.
There is too much liquidity and too many cheap resources in the game fundamentally. This is why CCP is toning down the faucets and increasing the difficulty to destroy more ships.
Personally I think they should nix insurance as well which would fix a lot of problems too, but that's just me.

Your kidding me right? How many years ago were you running 10/10s? I can't count the number of times I've run a plex and nothing has dropped, these plex have been nerfed in the past mnay times already. I can't take anything else you have to say seriously after your comment about insurance anyway.
If ccp wants to truely fix the economy then ban the botters, its not hard to figure out who they are... |

Yeah, if you are an explorer by profession the drone regions are not for you. Your only chance at any income is if you get a hierarchy escalate all the way to the end.
Radar sites produce 'integrated' drone bpc's with no value. Mag sites ARE ACTUALLY RADAR SITES AND REQUIRE CODEBREAKER.
The funny thing about the disparity is, you can find ANY drone exploration site in other regions like Tenal, but you will NEVER find a pirate exploration site in Drone regions. How fair is that?
