There is a poll on EVEMon's forum about deprecating the Relocator function from EVEMon.
The EVEMon Dev Team would really like your opinion on the matter.
Please vote on the related poll or leave your comment.

Enlighten me how one can with the eve client alone move a fixed window from one screen to another... There may be a way but not an obvious one at least.
The functionality doesn't look needed anymore for single screen setups but still seem very useful for people with more than one screen...

To move the fixed window from one client to another, you can change its native display adapter from 1 to 2. This may be done at any time from within the client in fixed window mode.
Moving it without changing the adapter may cause reduce performance.
I dont care enough to log in and vote since I dont use evemon any more, if it requires no further development to keep running between patches, leave it in, otherwise sure, remove it. The Adelaide meet, be there! |

Edited by: Joe Forum on 17/02/2011 11:45:01 It was mind-blowingly awesome and (almost) necessary, but now with the in-game options I can't see a use for it.
Edit: and thanks for the awesome app :)

Its usefulness is redundant. Take it out.

Don't let others decide for you. More people voting on this poll, the more accurate the result will be.

It's not necessary anymore. (Frankly, I never found it necessary anyway, but now it's just redundant). Dump it. --Vel

Please do not remove this feature, the current feature built in client is not working correctly, does not work in windowed and yours is only one of the few remaining proper fixes for this.
The current in-game moving feature only moves full screen apparently and yours fixes this

For what purpose do you use it? Are you running multiple accounts on seperate monitors? If so you should look at this: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Multiple_clients The client settings don't work properly if you are using 2 accounts on 2 different monitors without using the instructions in that guide. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

From my tests, there isn't anything that the EVEMon Relocator does and the built-in client "Fixed Window" function doesn't.
You can even relocate smaller than your monitor resolution, sized clients with the built-in function.

Looks like 52 people, so far, will decide the fate of the Relocator. For you, that don't want to register with Battleclinic just to vote on the poll, you can post your vote or your comment here.

Thanks for the reminder, I voted to keep it as I still use it. I dislike going into the options and settings each time I launch my alt client and moving it.
If the "Client Settings" could be different per alt, then sure, remove it completely. They aren't however so it should be kept. Unfortunately it appears that the poll would indicate otherwise. Signature removed for not being EVE related. Zymurgist |

OK. Here are some basic rules. - For each account create a separate EVE folder on where you have EVE installed. This way you can configure each client (account) settings without affecting any other. - In the clients settings declare the video card (or adapter) that each client will use. - Set the window mode to 'fixed window'.
If you follow the above you will get the same results as with EVEMon relocator.

use junctions - so you have 1 install , run many clients from it all with different settings [I have several setup for the same character etc....]
and I've never used evemon relocator

Poll results
Votes: 69
In favor: 35 (50.7%) Against: 12 (17.4%) Don't care: 22 (31.9%)
Adding the "in favor" and the "don't care" the result adds up to 82.6% vs 17.4%
So as from version 1.3.5 the EVEMon Relocator will be deprecated.
Thanks to all who participated.

By the way people, you can just use Gamers Window Relocater (google it) if you really are having problems, I use it for pretty much everything.
