We already have some glitches that have been incorporated into the canon story, so I was wondering how in game lag, that happens on occasion, translates into the fiction.
Or am I way out of line here?
I for example attended the recent event in Yulai, where everything was rather sluggish and laggy. Should that not be take into accound if someone writes something about it?

"Spatial anomalies" is the way it's been explained in news articles, and I've once had Esna comment (IC) on having heard a theory about such anomalies being related to a large number of warp drives all functioning in the same area causing some unusual effects. That's purely my invention, though, not PF. ----------------------------------------------

One way I thought of it a while ago was interference in the interface between the capsuleer and the ship. So literal latency between pilot's thoughts and the ship getting around to obeying them. As generally I get lag just for myself for a while when the local internet is acting up this can IC be chalked up to a technical fault with the ship. When it resolves itself it is down to your crew having made repair work on the faulty router/cable/processor.
Kind of hard to apply this to lag caused server-side by too many people in one area though. Chat-lag could simply be down to your crew having to filter out too many additional broadcasts to find the few you are interested in hearing.
As with the above post though, this is all just my thoughts, not backed up by PF.

Is how I described it in my blog when describing my experiences in nullsec, although I didn't elaborate on it much. -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lag is a Black Swan event. So anything that keeps the immersion factor high is good in my book. Jita Traffic Control, Stevedore work to rule, Hanger worker strike. All great ways to keep the immersion factor high.
Soul crushing lag not so good.
I know some people object when lag is storylined by CCP, but frankly if they are that hung about it then they shouldn't be playing RPG games online or otherwise.
