Well, I will give you a clue as to why Hulkageddon is actually very bad for EVE.
Miners or better yet, carebears, when forced to take a break from the game often ultimately figure out just what a tremendous waste of time this game really is. And they take up some other form of entertainment.
Eve is game that requires tunnel vision focus. Break that focus and you more often than not lose a player forever.
LOL, but that concentrated boredom with the normal EVE play is what causes destructive events like Hulkageddon anyway.
So yeah, in the end, it is very destructive to the game. As is Shansa incursions. Just more lame on top of lame.
There should be a skillbook for lame.

We don't care about you.
If you all quit it would make no, noticable, difference to the game.
We hunt you for sport because that's all you're good for.

The only thing TravisWB is right about may be the fact that (at least some) miners stay docked during this event, comparing to the numbers lost in HAG3. Well, now this endeavour is twice a year, meaning that "miner" won¦t dundock his hulk for 20 days.
At least Helicity may double these numbers again, doing this event 4 times/year. Staying docked for 40 days/year might make "miner" think if this game is still for him, and when losing subs ccp will swing the banhammer.
Anyway, i made tons of iskies by running L4¦s, selling hulks and catalysts and modules, good thing for me. Will buy my next stock of hulks when prices came down again, looking forward to the summer event.

I still don't understand why they target miners? Why not include all high sec ganks?

Any miner caught by hulkageddon deserves what he got. I mined during hulkageddon, in my hulk, makes no difference to me. Then again, I was mining in Low sec, maybe that's why it was so quiet.. all the gankers were off in high sec to gank hulks over there... Hmm sneaky tactic is sneaky?

I got an advance copy, it's fascinating but why do they hate 'roids so much?
I know you're going to say that by being in space the 'roids are consenting to PvA but that doesn't explain why thousands of these people gang up to grief them.

I'm defenitivly waithing for the "Jerkgeddon". The one where you have low skill trained alts just ready to pod gankers and nothing else.
Don't realy care about hulkageddon anyway but this idea would realy please me for the tears we could collect. ________________________________________________

Im not sure, but are the gankers tagged as criminals just before they are CONCORDOKKEN'D?
Because it would be interesting trying to counter-gank someone before concord arrived, especially if concord then turned up and sat around congratulating you...
