Edited by: Jovan Geldon on 02/03/2011 00:04:41 Aside from the fact that it sounds like an exceptionally convoluted method of RMT'ing, no. You can sell characters for ISK, and you can give ISK to people; if the two are related, then who's to know except you and the recepient (well, and the whole forum, now that you've posted it).

Large transfers of ISK are not enough to get CCP's attention. There would need to be some additional indications of RMT before they would investigate.

Depends on how big the transactions are. If I were your friend, I'd have you transfer the isk to an alt and try not to spend it for a while. Then if CCP tries to take it, file a petition. CCP tries to avoid the false positives, but any large sum transfer is a red flag.

I think if you transfer a character to someone else's account that it's totally legal. I think it's nowhere stated that it's only allowed by auctioning it on the bazaar (effectively you sell it for 0 ISK) and people transfer characters between their own accounts a lot as well anyway. How can CCP prove it's sold and not given?
Also giving away your stuff, why shouldn't it be allowed?

Edited by: I''thari on 02/03/2011 08:24:17 I think, to get suspected in RMT you need to make alot of transactions with your character plus recieve isk from several other sources (no one with few brain cells sells isk dirrectly from their bots, for example). If they'll suspect a hacking attempt, which would, most likely, be proven false by logs (those will obviously show nothing and you're innocent until proven otherwise ) since most players have more or less standard IP range they use (if not a static one). And it would be a poor hacking attempt if you only get couple accounts and real owner would never notice and file a petiton about it. |
