your best choice imo is a point blank neut domi. If you get a good warp in on a target and land right on top of them, not many ships can beat that.
Heavy neuts in the highs, SeBo, MWD, scram web and cap boosters in the mids Buffer tank in the lows (explosive hardener, suitcase, plates, EANMs)
OgreIIs for dps
Does not dish out a lot of damage, but you will keep them from repping or moving away if you cycle your neuts

I'm going to disagree with the poster above me. If you want to solo pvp in a BATTLESHIP, you have to, above all, be flexible and creative in shaping your engagements. This is because a 1v1 fight is very unlikely, especially in a slow-locking battleship, so you have to plan on being able to engage more than one target. While neuts are great in some situations, relying heavily on them is pretty useless when it comes to multiple targets with high dps.
I've had a lot of success with the following fit. It's cheap (if you choose not to rig) and it brawls well on gates and beyond.
Highs: Medium guns of your choice/spec
Meds: 2x Heavy cap booster 1x 100mn MWD 1x Warp Scrambler II 1x Stasis Web II
Lows: 2x Large Armor Reps II 1x EANM II 1x DCU II 1x Explo Hardener 1x Therm Hardener 1x Kin Hardener
Rep Rig if feeling lucky/wealthy.
The dps isn't too shabby with the drones + med guns, but it does help a lot to be in situations where your opponent is receiving gate gun fire. The tank is really the point here, with an exile booster and reps it's pretty strong.
Using a heavy active tank when solo pvping is important in order to shape the engagement to your advantage - e.g. separate the enemy gang over a gate or over a distance. I could go more in depth here but I'll spare you. :P
It's actually a really fun and even forgiving ship to solo pvp with, definitely a favorite.

In my opinion...there are only two pvp domi's...a RR one or a Neut one.

Then you probably should alter your opinion. Blaster version works well in a solo situation, you can't run neuts and reppers at the same time and expect to have your cap last a bit, apart from that most PVP ships are buffer tanked and neuting them doesn't have that much of an effect.

same fit. I just use more ogre for backup and cause you need to fight in close range so no problem about speed at reachin the target, but Berserker are good too for damage type selction. Do only therm with both guns and drones sucks a bit sometimes. You can solo a small gang of Bc in it.
if you want to pimpy it a bit (and you want): -800 navy cap booster -standard exile

Edited by: VannyDaCruz on 05/03/2011 12:38:01 Heres a more versatile fit:
Lows: Armor Explosive Hardener II Large Armor Repairer II EANM II EANM II Damage Control II 1600mm Rolled Tungsten 1600mm Rolled Tungsten
Mids: Quad Lif Fueld I Booster Rockets Heavy Capacitor Booster II - Navy Cap Booster 800 Warp Disruptor II Stasis Webifier II Stasis Webifier II
Highs: Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Heavy Unstable Power Fluctuator I Heavy Neutron Blaster II Heavy Neutron Blaster II Heavy Neutron Blaster II Heavy Neutron Blaster II
Rigs: Trimark Trimark Trimark
Drones to taste ---------------------
130k EHP 678 DPS with ogres, 708 overheated 780m/s 2 Webs and a long point 2 Heavy Neuts Cap stable with MWD and Neut off, 10 minutes with neut on MWD off 252 defence omni 75.1% / 67.6% / 67.6% / 76.9% and 27777 Armor Buffer
It is much more versatile than any other build I can imagine. It is not devastated by neuts as the above setups are, and will last longer with the buffer, also it retains the ability to drain any non BS ship in 1 to 2 cycles.

Because he wanted a solo setup, so a repper would be better in this case. Also, without a neut, a single cynabal will tackle you and you will just die. The fit you posted is not a good solo ship.

As for active domi being devastated by neuts, with 2 boosters and 2 reppers if you time it right you can use all the cap you inject from 1, and always have 1 to inject with when you need it. It's when you have 1 big cap boost or draw that neuts really ruin your day fast. |

Look up Kessah's domi setup, it's pretty close to perfect. If you have spare cash, go for a Navy Domi so you can fit a web and eccm. There's so many ECM jockeys around, I started fitting eccm even on regular domis instead of a web. _______________________________________________

I ran across this last night:
Domi 5x 425mm AC IIs, Hvy Neut MWD, Cap Booster, Scram, Web, SeBo 2x LAR II, 2x EANM II, DC II, 2x 1600 RT 2x Nano Pump, Nanobot Accel <drones>
He was in the process of roflstomping a Falcon+2x Myrm+Drake that had taken sentry fire to attack him. He tanked like a beast and I think he was gonna win vs the BCs. We joined in for a nice 3 way FFA and killed everyone. Then we all accused each other of having the Domi on the other guy's side because nobody knew who was doing what.

Kessahs domi fit, which was posted a few times in here (medium guns, dual heavy booster, dual LAR) already is probably the most versatile fit for solo. You need alot of neuts to **** it over completely actually.
There are other good fits too though. Plated with large electrons (someone posted it as well) is good, and a neut domi can work well in some situations.
Oh - and to the guy suggesting RR Domi; Good luck with solo pvp to you, sir.
