Is there any belts we can find with exploration in regular systems in highsec?
Me and my friend are trying to find some belts but always ends up on some missions or wormholes. Gravimetric signatures always ends up being a wh.
We are new to exploration so any newbie help would be appreciated.

Gravimetric signatures CANNOT be wormholes, as wormholes fall under the "unknown" category, along with regular combat sites. Radar sites involve hacking cans with a codebreaker, magnetometric sites generally involve containers that are opened with a salvager or an analyzer, and ladar sites usually have gas clouds to harvest. Any signature that reads as "gravimetric" once you get the signal strength to 25%+ will turn into some type of mining site once you pinpoint it. ______________________________________________________ PVP is a question that has no one right answer but a lot of wrong ones. - Aelana Anais

Yea that's the best probing tip I ever learned: at 25%+ you get to see the type of the site. If you still can't see the type after 25%, it's probably a WH. Otherwise it will say "Gravametric" if it is one.
In high sec you get things like "Small Omber Field", or "Large Hemorphite Field", etc.

You just have to keep scanning, you will find them grav sites. You may need to move around a bit. Train up to work Mag and Radar sites, which are usually way easy in high sec, sometimes no rats at all! Don't shy away from the combat sites, as some of them have rocks you can mine.
If you are mining and refining then you will want to get a high standing wherever it is that you refine your ore. That means mixing in some mission running for that NPC Corp. Some missions also have rocks.
Good luck.

Pulling a number out of the air, I'd estimate there is one in every 5 constellations.
Keep looking.

In some places you can find 3-4 of the damn things in one system. Can be annoying if it's in your regular exploration rounds.

Try a more obscure region in your area, and hi-sec systems adjoining or in the vicinity of lo-sec areas.

If you're lucky. Better yet, don't bother looking for them in hisec. The amount of time it takes to finally find out will cut into your isk/hour. And if you do find it, there will be other miners who are probably there as well. -----------------

As an anecdote, I've found numerous Jaspet fields in high sec grav sites, so they're there. But they're very limited and probably not worth the time spent finding them.

There was a generous amount of gneiss in one of my mission sites (highsec) that I offered in local after killing all the badies, but nobody replied, so I just completed the mission. Their loss.

Depends on how you prefer spending your time. Sometimes I like mining Grav sites because I can semi-afk whilst doing it. Otherwise, yes, you can earn lots more doing other things (like missions), but they aren't really AFK activities if you want to earn more.

Given that Jaspet for as long as i can remember has had the without any competition worst isk/m3 price that's probably a safe bet

It is all about where you look. Hi-sec islands have grav sites by the boat loads usually. Especially if there is no local station, thus requiring miners to travel through lo-sec to get there.
Derelik Region, Fera Solar System, I scanned down a good 6-7 in less than 30minutes last time I was there. I wasn't there to mine, but they exist out there. Check the maps and find similar types of locations in different regions. Places that nobody but the crazy few go. Those are where you'll have minimal competition, and much more luck finding what you're looking for.

And some red flashing things waiting for you when you exit the system into tard-sec.

Best way to do this if you want to mine is to not bother looking for the exploration sites at all.
Rather - get to know the local explorers, provided you are in a relatively quiet area your best bet is to offer a little incentive and you may get more grav sites than you know what to do with - there are plenty of explorers out there who are not looking for grav sites and are more than happy to pass them on, if you can make it worth their while.

For years yes, however I would suggest you check Noc prices

Tbh with you, you are much better off just mining belts in hisec. All the time you will spend looking for grav sites (which, btw, simply are not worth it since they will not have any expensive ores) is much better spent mining Kernite/Pyrox.

Jaspet is currently more valuable than any high sec ores, so finding it in high sec is pretty nice. But, like I said, the time it takes to find grav sites and the low probability it will be in those sites at all may discourage those who would prefer to do other things.
