Hello!
I was wondering: Does anyone know what the jamming strength of CONCORD ships is? I am wondering if filling up my mid-slots with ECCM would delay the time it takes for CONCORD to lock/jam/attack me, should I 'accidentally' open fire on someone I don't like in High-Sec space....

Over 9000!
Sorry.
Seriously though, I doubt all the ECCM and remote ECCM in the world would keep you from getting jammed by Concord. Pretty sure everything they use is top-notch and pretty much unavoidable. ---------------- A million faces, each a million lies |

Once you summon CONCORD your already dead-you just don't know it yet. Surviving, and/or escaping CONCORD for longer then the response time in the systems sec status is considered an exploit. ---- --- ---

Which is ridiculous by the way. Should be an ability to make some kind of escape if you get very very lucky. What I mean by that is that you should be able to make good your escape if you just happen to pull it off, without it being a exploit, just my opinion though.

I am not talking about avoiding CONCORD. I am am not expecting to be able to. I am simply talking about possibly delaying the jam cycles.

Still doesn't tell me the jam strength. Only sensor strength is available.

If you go on Test server you will find that even a dread will pop in a matter of seconds to Concord response. It really isn't possible to one man gank someone in high sec. |

Chances are you don't have enough slots on your ship to make a difference.

What we're getting at is that its impossible, only way to delay CONCORD is to do attack from a lower-sec status system(ie .5 gives more time then .7).

Their strength is infinite or your ship strength+1 which ever comes first.

The CONCORD jamming doesn't really matter. Didn't even realize they bothered. They practically one-shot even capital ships (test this on sisi.) It's safe to consider CONCORD infinite anything, just not instant response.

Pretty much this yes, as soon as a Commander is in range you die - regardless of ship and/or (E)HP.

Obviously neither of you have any clue at all what you're talking about
Under current concord mechanics:
1) Three concord will spawn next to you (two captains and one commander per ganker) after a period of between 5 and 15 seconds, depending on sec status of the system. 2) The captains will lock within a fraction of a second, at which point they begind to jam, neut, and scram you 3) The captains will begin shooting at you, doing damage equivalent to a pair of dps megathrons at optimal. 4) ~10-15 seconds later, the commander will finish locking you and do a very large amount of damage. Lots of buffer will occasionally buy you an extra few seconds if the commander does a lower damage than usual volley.
What this means: 1) If you're using weapons that require a locked target, you might as well be instakilled. 2) It is possible for concord to miss a jam, but this is rare, and if your weapons require cap it doesn't really matter since you're neuted. 3) If you're using weapons that require capacitor but no lock, you can still fire them off if you inject cap in between neut cycles
Some evidence: video from testserver (fullscreen the video and you can read the log)
Key parts from the combat log:
Quote: 01:47:32 Combat Your Large YF-12a Smartbomb hits dpidcoe [CACLI](Hulk), doing 150.0 damage. 01:47:33 Notify For initiating combat your security status has been adjusted by -0.1659. 01:47:49 Combat CONCORD Police Captain lightly hits you, doing 479.5 damage. 01:47:49 Notify CONCORD Police Captain has started trying to warp scramble you! 01:47:51 Notify Large YF-12a Smartbomb requires 200.0 units of charge. The capacitor has only 0.6 units. 01:47:57 Combat Your Large YF-12a Smartbomb hits dpidcoe [CACLI](Hulk), doing 288.4 damage. 01:47:57 Notify Large YF-12a Smartbomb requires 200.0 units of charge. The capacitor has only 1.0 units. 01:47:58 Combat Your Large YF-12a Smartbomb hits dpidcoe [CACLI](Hulk), doing 300.0 damage. 01:48:00 Notify For your part in the destruction of a Hulk your security status has been adjusted by -0.6642. 01:48:04 Combat CONCORD Police Commander aims well at you, inflicting 33226.8 damage.
TL;DR of log: 01:47:32 - 01:47:49 = 17 seconds response time 01:47:49 - 01:48:04 = survived for 15 seconds after concord showed up 01:47:32 - 01:48:00 = 28 seconds to kill an untanked hulk with smartbombs
TL;DR of post: - Misinformation based on rumor based on hearsay about suicide ganking annoys me - If you're ganking with turrets, you can consider yourself instakilled after concord response time - If you're ganking with smartbombs, you can usually use a well timed cap injection to get a second volley off after concord starts shooting at you

Did this change? Because my tests long ago indicated that it didn't matter what buffer you had... Linkage

I'm unsure about this. I've definitely seen cases in which a hit from concord put a plated ship into deep armor. To me this implies that had the plates not been there the hit would have killed them, but after looking at the results of your testing it seems more likely that what I was seeing was a wrecking hit from a captain.

Even the local navies target, shoot and pop you inside POS shields. So I would conclude CONCORD would easily do the same. --------------------------------------

As for warping to a POS, CONCORD has an extra surprise for criminals. Any ships belonging to the criminal that are floating free in space will be destroyed, along with the criminal's currently piloted ship. (Anything inside a SMA is not visible, so not touched)
POS shields/bubbles do NOT prevent CONCORD toasting your stuff. ALL your stuff.
As for 'accidentally' opening fire... Load up for massive damage in the shortest time. Tank does not really matter, just BBQ your target before you get BBQed. _______________________________
