NEED MOAR CAPS, PLX!!!11!ELEVEN!! However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

if you feel more safe then.. go ahead, but remove cloakers from local as soon as they cloak.

I know right? All the time I see "fix cloak" or "nerf cloak." the only thing this does is help gate campers. It doesn't fix the afk cloaker, if indeed that is a problem.

I would agree to adding this item only if cloaked ships didn't appear in local.

Edited by: Selinate on 06/03/2011 17:32:14 There is no problem with cloak.
Now please, use your brain cells, and post a constructive argument for getting rid of local, then the "Afk cloaker problem" will be gone. Anything affecting cloak itself is just stupid, and you're obviously just some idiot pirate who gets mad when cloakers get through your gate camp (which they should since they were MADE to do this).

...you know I thought I made the distinction between piracy and pvp'ers pretty clear. I just want the chance to solo tackle anything. The get-out-of-lowsec-free option needs to be taken off the table. That is what I am saying. If something is "uncatchable" than there is a problem. |

Ok I can't find teh post, where you showed the distinction between pirate and pvp'rs. I am kind of curious...what is the difference between pirates and pvp'rs?
I have never seen an uncatchable internet space ship in Eve, hard to catch yes, uncatchable....no.

If someone's better at you at EVE then they should win. You suck at EVE, you should lose. Nothing's broken.

Not everything in this game is meant to be done solo. Get friends.
More than that, your idea/mod has more far reaching consequences that you're peddling.

Ah.. it was another thread. Well than...
Originally by: Gogela There are PvPers that just kill everyone, and then there are pirates that try to sc**** together a living on the contents of haulers caught on gate. The latter is a hard way to make some dough I'll admit, but it's also fun when you get a good one. They can make all the days of waiting or getting worthless kills over and over and loosing ships all the time totally worth it. I can't speak for everyone, but as a casual gamer (relatively speaking) it is my favorite way to play.
I'm not looking for an "I win" button... I'm looking for a way to stop a ship that can warp cloaked in low sec. It should be possible... but unless you went full ****** before jumping to another system, you will do fine simply cloaking and warping away on the other side. There should be some way to stop them. What exists right now is an "I win" button for low sec haulers, and that's what I oppose. No one should be invulnerable... so no TharOkha your assessment is way off. I think it would be appropriate for one to say I demand the end to all "I win" buttons. ...what do you want TharOkha? Maybe we should just turn all of eve into empire and issue everyone a polaris. would that be safe enough for you? Stay in empire. |

Nothing is 100%, including cloaking haulers. We catch them, that fact that you don't is an issue with your skills, not bad game design. Do we catch every ship? No and neither should we, the difference is you don't find us whining about it.
Plus have you considered, that this device may have the same limitation that smartbombs have? Which makes the whole point of your thread, well, pointless.

This is one of the many test/nonsense items in the sql database. I assume you are one of those "anti afk cloaking" fools. It should be pointed out that this module doesn't appear to be such a thing. It has an area of effect of 15k, so basically its a no damage smartbomb with twice the range of a large emp.
Either way I don't really think we need it.

So now you think that im some kind of hisec carebear?! Man, i lived in lowsec long enough to post here some statement about this ridiculous thread. I had encoutered many types of the gangs, some of them was state-of-the-art gangs, that even my interceptor with 1,5s align time and 6km/s speed + cloak couldnt escape them. And also i encoutered noobs gangs and they couldnt catch even my slow BS. So if you think that some ships are "uncatchable" you are wrong. You just suck at gatecamping. btw 15km area of effect? yea, you truly demand "I WIN" button

Why not? Because a cloak is a cloak damnit! A cloaked ship is already crippled, why try and cripple it further with a mod that makes the cloak useless?
