I bet with a wee bit o' hacking it would be possible. The Xoom is powered by an nvidia video chipset...so eve + modded wine + xoom? bet someone will do it. :-)

If it's a x86 architecture, yes.
Else, forget that.

As he said ^
- It has to be an x86 platform, cause the eve client only runs on this - Android has no X11 or X11 compatibility - Android has no standard Linux Userland

Probably under a massive performance loss, but think I heard someone running eve on smartphones by optimizing some remote desktop clients, so running it on a regular computer and using pad\phone as a thin client. ------------------------------------------------ There is no such thing as good or evil. It's going to happen, they actually showed something at fanfest ressembling the eve engine on a xoom tablet, runnung natively of course, and on an arm processor.

Yeah, saw that too. But i'm not sure if it was just a small app that rendered a model of a titan. It wasn't the game itself. But if they show that it prob means the are working on a solution and that will hopefully be a native one. -- please consider to visit our w-space system, cake will be served immediately. |

Edited by: AureuSZ on 27/03/2011 14:54:14 When you look at it, it's probably a deal between ccp and nvidia for bringing the carbon thing to tegra2 goodness. I wouldn't be surprised if we see more carbon stuff in the coming years ported to android and tablets in general.
And there's the whole new UI stuff; probably making it easier to play on touch screens...
