Friends say it is an excellent publication with very high quality production, print and finish.
However, it is also rather expensive and therefore largely a 'special offer' only kind of affair.
Unless you is rich bra. Init.

I got a year sub from my fiancT and I have to say I really enjoyed Eon. Some nice articles and useful info on subjects related to eve made it a perfect reading to depend knowledge of the game.

I'd vouch for it. I've gotten all #22 issues, been subbed since Fall 2005 - I mostly keep subscribed so that if and when the game ever does keel over, I have a hardcover record of the events that happened and the discussions at various points in time. You know, the historical perspective, plus its nice reading material on vacations and net/TV access is limited.
As for what you get for the money, about a 60(?) page magazine, the pages are pretty high-quality and glossy, the articles are usually pretty well written, plus they often include a bonus like a poster. 8/10 or 9/10, on the whole, my only gripe is that I wish they'd not fold those bonuses in the package itself, but rather roll them up and send them separate - I at least understand why they do that though.

As with the poster above I buy it so I have something tangible left when the game eventually goes away. I only recently got up to date with it, so I've only read issues 1-6, but they were quite good (I particularly like the chronicles), and rereading them now (which I've been doing before reading the "new" ones) is also quite interesting. -

Question: I live in Finland (europe) and I've been thinking about ordering it but how do the delivery fees work? You order six issues and pay the postal fee. That's it? I just want to clarify that the postal fee doesn't come with every single issue?
6 x issues + one postal fee = end price?
or
6x (1x issue + postal fee) = end price?

Had the first 4 issues and didn't think it was worth the price. Not bothered with it since.

there are a few free fanfest related articles from EON on the Fanfest-page
eonmagazine.net/about-eon/ has also some informations
and an overview of the topics can be found here.
yes it is not cheap, but if you pay EVE five times a year with plex you save enough money for EON ;)

I wouldnt bother
I had a sub for a few months n gave it up. Most of the info except a few *special interviews* can be found on the forums or its crap from ego centered players telling u how to play
The money for it doesnt match anywhere near the content u get

Been subbing for 3 years now and I very much enjoy my subscription, makes for some nice and quiet reading during dt. However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

I have been subscribed since issue 3 and I for the most part I really enjoy it. Sometimes the articles are really useful and interesting, occasionally they are crap and self-indulgent but as a huge fan of EvE it's a nice, out-of-game addition to the universe.
That said, if the $60 a year sub is pricey to you, it's arguably not going to be worth it. .
