Eve running on a 46" multitouch table. Works pretty well. Good response. Of course the keyboard shortcuts don't work but other than that, it's pretty sweet :)
Let me know what you think and CCP, when will you support multitouch!

Nice. Watching the video there were times when I was thinking zoom out! zoom out! Also selecting and managing targets and stuff might be a real ball ache. Still seems fun tho. Wouldn't take too much to make it work really well I bet.

Yah, can't do the pinch zoom or anything yet. Working on having an external program intercept and map pinch gestures to the mousewheel.

What coating do you have on the screen to stop them wearing out/marking anyway?

Looks nice on such a large screen. I do play occasionally on my convertible notebook's touchscreen. The pinch gestures work for me, but they are kind of unresponsive. I'm not sure if it is Windows or Fujitsu's software that is doing the mapping on my end.

can only think of one thing better then that.. would be kinect support like some of the independents are doing for the game that begins with W etc. love to be able to just point wave etc link it up with voice commands and gesture and you could just grab a ship and go 'target' 'alpha' 'get me the BEEP out of here'. - Juil Intergrated Information Services Information is Power

The table is built by TouchMi Inc. The screen is special coated plexi-glass with a rear projection material on it. We also have a 2meter bar but I haven't put Eve on it yet. We have another pair of 4 meter bars we're building right now for a dance club here in Japan. If I get the chance, I'll install on those :) 4 meter screen ftw!

As a Former Fujitsu Employee It's the Fujitsu Software - Not Windows. Patience, The Japs will get it Squared soon enough. --

As said before, that would be Fujitsu's software. Windows doesn't map gestures to fullscreen directX or OpenGL apps :( Going to have to do it myself.

Ahh, actually, it looks like windows does pass gestures to fullscreen apps. Might need to just generate a wrapper to make it work with eve.

+ iPad/Android client.
I hope EVE will be all I want sooner or later: multi-touch client, MassEffect2-like planetary gameplay and so on. Maybe some 3D (minus dorky glasses).

I've played with my Wacom several times, so much more intuitive with Eve's UI. Most people will read this thinking it's part of my post, when its actually my sig :P

This would be so fricking awesome if it could be made to work well with all commands. However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

I don't have multi-touch, but when I play on my touchscreen puter, I keep forgetting it's a touch screen and clicking crap. I have a habit of using my finger to remember where I was on a list of assets, bpo's or whatever.
As for the 2 of you that play with the Wacom, which product of theirs? The touchpad thing or an actual monitor?
Personally, I use stroke-it. It allows you to perform gestures with the mouse while holding the right mouse button. As long as it's a command Eve allows you to assign a keystroke to, you can make a gesture that hits that key. My personal favorites are just dragging to the right to alt-tab or diagonal top right to bottom left to minimize. Right-left-right-left refreshes. I even have one that pulls up eve-central in Firefox(a big M for market).
There are so many possibilities if you combine the technologies that it makes me want to go buy new toys.
