How troll of me to complain literally within a hour before down time.
Just incase you forgot, CCP. The back/forward buttons on the EVE client windows are non-existent.
I did petition. But the response I got was "go report this yourself to our bug report blah blah". No. I will not.
It's been gone for literally over two weeks and there wasn't a simple patch to put it back in.. If it's not fixed after this down time .. I will cry. I'm too lazy to file another report after I petitioned it.

Soà instead of bug-reporting the bug, you petitioned it?
And because they haven't changed it because of your non-existent bug-report, you're going to cry?

It's even better. Instead of:
1. Logging in bug reporting section; 2. Describing the problem;
He decided to: 1. Log in to the forum; 2. Describe the problem;

Yeah CCP are terrible when it comes to that. I was in EC- a few weeks ago when everyone in fleet - and local - crashed (note how I didn't say disconnect, but everyone's eve client actually crashed) so I made a petition just to let the technical support guys know in case there was an issue with their hardware or perhaps an exploit. I gave no ****s myself, wasn't looking for reimbursement or anything since I wasn't negatively affected as everyone crashed both blues and reds. And I got a reply over a week later asking me to make a bug report. Try and do a favour and point out an issue and some knucklehead posts a copy paste reply. Nice.

You know who should be writing bug reports? CCP's internal QA, or external if they have one. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect a paying customer to perform the duties of their employees.
Unacceptable.

You know how difficult it is to test mildly complex code? You cannot expect to release a game if you try to remove all bugs from the code, since you'll never accomplish it. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

How about testing the game on a "Test" server before launching it to the general population? I work for an ISP. We call ~not testing anything before a launch~, "Field Testing". Our customers hate it. "Shrugs"
Anyone who creates and maintains websites tests them with several different browsers before launching updates. Maybe you could use several different browsers and OS's to test the updates as well. No man ever got killed by his wife while giving her a footrub. Rubbing someone elses wife's feet, well... *Fill in the blank* |

Let me get this straight-You expect them to test every line of code for every possible hardware/software configuration AND still manage a decent release schedule? Don't say ISPs can do it as they operate in a vary controlled environment-TQ is anything but and a lot more powerful then anything most ISPs have. ---- --- ---

Testing at all is a start.
