I was a moron while doing trade runs and bought a lot of spirits, not realizing it's conraband. I would normally just say screw it and dump it, but I put most of my money into it. Now I can't find any places which will allow me to sell it, and I don't want to get blown up. Someone...please...what can I do? lol There's always an easier way. |

Spirits are contraband only in Amarr, Ammatar and Khanid space (and stations) but are bought by Caldari corporations like Nugoeihuvi, as well as some Gallente and pirate corps. If you can avoid areas with Amarr customs, you should be able to sell your goods (though if i remember right the Amarr customs like to hang around such places as Yulai which aren't technically their territory... better scout your route first)

What baffles me is that people in stations that consider spirits illegal items are allowed to place buy orders for said items. Why? Surely the law enforcement people should be knocking on their doors quicker than you can say "Mine's a pint of Guiness". Its irritating, rather than a pain. Once you know it exists you can work around it, it just doesn't seem to make any sense from an ingame perspective.

Actually, not all of the small pics have the contraband image, the skull and crossbones, on them. I have some spirits sitting in my hanger and they don't have the skull image. That may be because they're located in Gallente space, but I still couldn't sell them in an Amarr station even though there was a buy order up (which, as Twirrim noted, makes little sense). I also have some slaves sitting around I got from agent missions. Those do have the skull image. But if you look for either of those items on the market screen, the skull is not there. So it seems best not to rely on the trade good icon to indicate whether or not it is contraband. If you're going to be a trader, better to just compile a list of items and where they're forbidden before you start.
