Edited by: Malcorian Vandsteidt on 18/03/2011 17:08:08 My Corporation needs 2 types of Industrial Corporations to contract with us:
1. We need an Industrial/Mining Corporation that specifically deals in large Volume Ice Mining. The Contract will continuously purchase Your Isotopes {Of Any type} For 10% - 15% discount to Jita "sell" market. This will be a self renewing and continuous offer. If your a mining Corporation looking for a guaranteed income for your efforts Then mail me in game. No contract will be less then 500,000 Units of Isotopes, and will most likely be in excess of 1,000,000 per contract.
2. We need an Industrial/Manufacturing Corporation to build BC's and BS's in Large quantities. Specifically: Hurricanes, Drakes, Myrmi's, Megathrons, Ravens, Abbadons. We are fine if your Corporation can Only produce BC's. My Corp will buy your Ships for 10% - 15% Discount to Jita Market. This is a Guaranteed income for any Manufacturing Corporation and No Order will be less then 5 units and they will possibly be more then 10 Units at a time.
Please mail me with Offers and Interest. These will be lucrative Contracts. We accept Private Sector Contract as well. * All Contracts Must be Located somewhere in Highsec with No lowsec systems en route. * All Contracts Must be 10%-15% Discounted to Jita "Sell" Market.

I think I'm missing something here, couldn't they just sell their products to Jita buy orders and make more than what you offer? that seems pretty guaranteed, too.

Be assured that there are several reasons in answer to all your questions.
To the main one, yes you could if your orders were small and you didn't care about quick selling and loosing ISK on it which you could make with non quick sell orders, (If they were bulk like I'm talking about read below) But not on quick sells or buy orders, and not without time spent battling your competitors for sell order prices. And by this I mean changing your order price every 5 minuets to keep it in the sell bracket.
If you have the time to do that, then your a marketer like me, and you don't have time to mine or do industry.

Posting to confirm that your prospective manufacturers that are willing to sell under price are also willing to chase your answers around the forum.
Btw, a hyperlink may help.

I see, your offer is so attractive that you need to paste it on several forum sections just to get people's attention.

Actually it's called advertising. And it's how Business's, Get business. You should try it. :)
Advertising in more the one place increases consumer awareness. Therefore increases the chances a consumer will buy from your store, or in this case, Decide to Contract with me so I can buy from them.
To everyone's other question, Why would I want to buy from someone selling to me at market price when I can simply buy it for that price off the market?
A compromise must be made to facilitate business between 2 parties. Not everything in eve.. actually most things in eve are not about YOU the individual, but about US the Community of eve. My buying provides guaranteed income to s a corporation or several corporation without the need for them to have to market all their stuff. Whereas I make my money by reselling the items that I buy.
Miners and builders get paid NOW instead of having to wait days or weeks for their money, Whereas I have to wait days and weeks to see my return and profit, but it is generally high and worth it.
It's a Circle, you have the providers, The marketers and the consumers. I buy from the providers, I sell to the consumers. It's a viscous circle that sucks you in and makes you have to justify everything you do to ensure people don't think your screwing them over. And this applies to both the provider and the marketer.
All 3 of those are very different trades. And require a vastly different skill set and mentality to acomplish.

It's called spam. In the EVE forum context, it's also called crossposting. |

wouldn't it be much more attractive to suppliers if you gave them
(Buy + Sell) /2
That way, your group and supplier are both equally benefitting from not having to babysit orders or transport to/from Jita.
just a thought

I apologize, I have never heard of you or your business. And I've been playing since 2006. Apparently you could use some advertising :)
I just started this one a week ago. And I already have 20 clients (Individuals) and 6 corporations contracting with me on a regular basis. So while you may not use it, I like to because it works and it works well.
If you can make your business more successful and more profitable.. Why wouldn't you?

Estel doesn't need to make his former FREE jump clone service any more profitable.
do some research first.
Speaking of... maybe you could talk to cista about Jita Direct Sale and the rational behind it. Or you could continue to take advantage of desperate industrialists. I guess that works too.
Edit - just realized this sounds pretty snarky. Oh, well. I'm having one of those days, so on second thought... no snark-removing edit

Watch out, it's a scam! He's scamming you out of 10-15% of your income!
Selling T1 10% below Jita prices usually means that you'll manufacture at a loss, because the minerals alone are worth more than what you get from him. As for minerals: it has been pointed out that you could just as well sell to buy orders; you'll most likely even then get more than he offers. |

Now you're just bullsh*ting all over the place.
What makes me sad is that there are actually people who fall for that. But then again, maybe they're just desperate for some roleplay.

Not a bad idea really, but it comes out to about the same, either way the Producer gains more then the Buy price.
Oxygen Isotopes for example (Just happens to be what I'm looking at on the market currently)
The sell order (Lowest) is 353.21/unit The Buy Order is (highest) 310.40/unit Total = 663.61 /2 = 331.805/unit
Now take what I'm offering ( Lowest sell order 10% discounted:) about 323.24/unit
On this product there's not much of a difference. My profits will be significantly less. Possibly nil. 20 isk/unit is not a lot of wiggle room for fees, and changes in prices due to competitors.
Usually 5-15 Isk/unit goes to pay for fees on the market, as well as fees associated with modifying sell orders (IE the profit losses every time you reduce the price) even with decent skills unless your selling 10's of millions of whatever it is you don't really have a cushion on a scale like that. the flat 10-15% gives an extra 10ISK cushion or safety net.

No it's real dude look at this thread. The proof is right in front of you, from the beginning I am having to justify why I am wanting the 10% Discount. Same with the other thread. Every time. It's not BS RP.
