Iv recently skilled up for a panther and when it came to the time of buying one i noticed that the Sin, Redeemer, widow were priced from 525-550m but the panther was 750m.... Anyone care to share why theres such a price diffrence and if they think it will drop soon?

How exactly is a Black Ops overpowered for the price? I mean, I can maybe understand someone using a Widow in combat for the ECM, but the Panther has what? Large autocannons, which can't even hit at close range, and a non-warpable cloak. And crap hitpoints.
What exactly makes the Panther so desirable that it's worth 700m? I wouldn't pay more than 150m for it, to be honest.

Yeah forgive me if you are being sarcastic, but my calculations put actual profit at like 43m, and with an invention time of 3 days.... and a build time of 3 days... on average 15 days(slot time, which to me has value and its easier to say 15 days then 5 slots at 3 days) to complete it (looked at a couple decryptors but it all comes out nearly the same)
in other words not worth it

Depends on how you calculate your product. I go by sell price in Jita, because technically (with work) you could theoretically get those prices, vs taking your panther there to sell.
I get a price of 422m base production X1.5= 633
633+67=700m.
750-700=50m
As for my time, I never include PoS bonuses because I calculate by PPSPD, which except for capital ships (I believe) every item can do.
BP time shows Manu 3 days 8 hours with a max Manu toon.
even with a .75 factory modifier, I get 2 1/2 days. Curious where you getting the 1 day 5 hours from. (is there a bonus to production time from SoV?)
50m/2.5=20m per day. So in this case yeah, it's really good profit. But you tie up a decent amount of isk and i'm not sure how often they sell.

I must be dense (never made T2 BSes) but why 1.5 multiplier above BP mats x jita sell?

with zero waste it cost 422mish to produce, a -4 bpc adds 50% waste. so 422*1.5

Don't forget, it might be worthwhile to use decryptors which can possibly reduce the cost (depending on the cost of the decryptor and which one you use).
Also building T2 ships at a POS is crazy since the advanced ship arrays use 10% more material.

he was talking about buying a BPC off the market, and I fooled around with different decryptors, yet with the success chance it always came out close.

Your calculator is broken. With t2 ships, if we are using the same invention calculator.
Calculator says 2038 nanomechanical microprocessors,
BPC in hek says 6300.
Calc says 4131 fernite carbide, bpc in hek says 18k.
Which goes to show, that a tool can be useful but always double check the work yourself otherwise you could stand to loose a lot of $

You can plug in prices, (I simply went by the ones it gave me as generally it is pretty accurate +-10%. So 433m for base price, multiply it by 1.5 for waste difference.

If you read the last quarterly the panther had the best kill/death ratio and isk efficiency by miles. The ship is a mini titan, not a better phoon.

There is that other category of projectile cannons. Maybe try those.

The cost difference between an ME -4 BPC and a ME -1 bpc is around 100M isk. However the ME-1 blueprint cost slightly more.
And about the price at the moment - supply and demand.
