I have recently paid a player to upgrade the standings for my corporation.
Upon completion of his activities on my behalf, my corp faction standings for caldari and amarr were both above 7.00.
Three weeks later I attempted to anchor POS's in high sec 0.6 systems, only to be declined based on my corp faction standings. So I view my standings and I have lost all positive faction standings except for "Jove Empire" and "The Society".
**It is important to note that no character within my corp show anything besides a starter agent in the standings window. Thus,I assume they have null standings and therefore should not impact the overall corp standings. However, several of the characters were purchased in the character bazaar.
On March 20th I filed a petition as I assumed this was a glitch AND I invited a friend with high standings with the factions I was looking for to my corp.
Thus far the GM's have been unable to help me (2 GM replys, no results). However, the friend with the high standings has now been within the corp for 7 days today with his caldari faction of 6.97, his amarr faction is 4.81. The corp standings have just updated, but caldari is now 3.49 and amarr is 2.40...
I suspect that one or more of my characters must have 0 standings instead of "null". I have numerous alts and my friend cant stay in this corp for months while I guess and check by removing one character at a time... can someone help?

This is due to the fact that the standings get evened over the members. Members with 0 standing still contribute to this. So you should have anchored the POS within one week of adding new members to save this happening.

Corp standings update at downtime. They are a simple average of all non-null members that have been in the corp 7 days or longer.
If you have someone with sufficient standing, and they have been in the corp for over 7 days, you can remove all other members with non-null standing for 1 downtime. Everyone can re-join after that, and you have 7 days to place a control tower.

won't CT unanchor once standing falls below allowed limit?
what is the point in the limit then, just quit all members with bad standings, anchor and re-join.
