Magnetom sites (that require an Analyzer) are some of the hardest sites to pinpoint and the drops are not even worth the effort. I figure Magnetom sites are about 3X harder to nail down to 100% than any other site and they pay off about 1/10 to 1/20 the amount of a Radar site. Really, about 600K isk in salvage and one low level book if you are lucky is what you'll get at these sites. I ignore them now as they are just a waste of effort and time.

The value of those sites are dictated by the market. And so increasing the drop rate will make it even less worth while. So unless CCP changes the manufacturing process of T3s, the value of these sites will remain the same.
So best idea is if you have a site that takes a lot to scan, just ignore it and move on.

Just saying. If it's going to drop salvage at least make it valuable salvage in a decent quantity.

Lets start by asking which class of wormhole you're in? and what you classify as "salvage" ?

Sorry. I should point out this is in normal high sec. Comparatively speaking Magnetom sites are not worth the time and effort.

High- and low-sec magnetometric sites = instant Ignore result. Relatively no reward for your effort.

These sites are so bad they might as well remove them.

Yes, I need to chime in on this as well. I love exploration but Mag sites are an absolute waste of time in high and low sec to the point that they might as well be removed. The best salvage I ever got was an "Intact Shield Emitter" which was worth about 3 million from a low sec site. It wasn't even worth risking the 18 million ISK Ferox I used to run the site with.
I would really love a response from CCP about this because I have seen so many complaints, especially when it comes to the viability of running these sites in low sec, that I can't believe it is not on their radar.

High sec mag sites need some work, + 1
either made harder with some kind of spawns to make it worth while, or some kind of exploration chain start point,
and or increase chance of t2 salvage drops..

I'll add here that some ability to rename cans (to you) so that you know which ones you already opened would be helpful. Or at least the ability to remove SPECIFIC can from overview.

Enable "tags" on your overview and get into a fleet as any form of commander, and simply right click > tag the cans you have done.

I believe you can use the tag for that task (the overview has a column, "tag", which is not visible by default and it allows you to tag items with letters or numbers)
