If I run missions for say Guristas Pirates and gain standing with them and all that. Why do they still attack me in belts? Its obvious that I'm blue to them so they shouldn't shoot me unless i aggress one of them right? Can I join one of their corps so they dont assault me? If I gain +10 with the faction i should be able to sit in a belt pretending to rat and when someone attacks me they get ****d by the pirate faction like the faction navy and CONCORD ****s a pirate in highsec. Just saying. CCP fix this please.

There used to be talks about this but the idea was always very low priority, to the point of not being on any near-future plans. _

depressing news for me then. Whats the point of running missions for them then? Aside from Faction ship BPCs? Is there a significant increase in isk/hour ratio when comparing a "normal" highsec lvl 4 mission with one given by the pirate faction?

As far as I understood it, there is a significant increase in the LPs you receive when working for the Pirate factions. ------------------------ Jint Hikaru - Miner / Salvager / Explorer / SpaceBum "I've got a couple of Strippers on my ship... and they just love to dance!" ------------------------ |

Yes, but that comes from the fact that rewards (both ISK and LP) are affected by system security status (IIRC, it's truesec, not listed sec, truesec goes into the negatives, down to -1.00). Also, LP for pirate factions tend to be more valuable than LPs for empire factions.
Those two factors combined actually mean that in some cases, blitzing L3s for pirate factions can be more lucrative than regular empire L4 mission-running. _

I had the exact same idea as OP when I started Eve. Joining a NPC pirate faction and fighting against the empire dwellers. The idea was quickly killed. Sadly.
