Out in 0.0 decided harass some people belonging to the bigger powerblocks using cheap expendable ships. The resultant fleet was only 15 people strong with the most expensive ship being a T1 fitted Rupture.
This was hot droped by a fleet of Super carriers....something is broken when small fast gangs are being hot dropped by a far more mobile supercap gangs. Why having a roving gangs when hot droping a fleet is so easy not even fast cruiser sized gangs can out pase them? Need a line here |

Christ, live in w-space, they know you're not likely to have someone like PL on the phone, you get Aeons cynoed 1 system over for a rapier, and titans out to save everything

Have a problem with how mobile these ships are. They are not a tactical asset or some big corp weapon but a very fast ship that can move systems faster than a cruiser gang. They are just to fast. Attempting to move abttle ships or anythig that far would take much much longer. Need a line here |

Couldn't they just warp away as soon as the moms arrived on grid?

Not a lot. Hence why they got dropped on by bored mom pilots.

How does it get there? With a cyno. Why's there a cyno, because you're tackled. |

Issue is that there is just no risk at all involved when you can safely log off or jump unless other side has a cap fleet on call to gun down your super cap and even then it's close call to mobile such a fleet unless it's trap to begin with.

Sorry but record is still 3 supercarriers on a solo ceptor (which escaped).
But yeah imo the main problem with caps in general, but especially supercaps, is that they are the most mobile ships in game. By having scouts in neighbouring systems a freaking interceptor gang cant surprise you, but the largest ships in game can travel in one second what regular ships require 20-30 minutes for.
Spool up time for cyno or jumpdrive would already really help alot against using the mobility for hotdropping.

Musta caught some moms logged in with nothing to do. We roam/camp test space all the time and we have to wait up to an hour for a subcap response.

I doubt they had all 15 of em tackled, I would even bet with fast ships like cruisers most of em warped off. The super pilots like to do it for the brown pants factor from what I can tell. They enjoy making people **** themselves.

TBH CCP needs to increase the time it takes to jump from cyno to cyno, it is kind of absurd that the largest ships in the game are the most mobile and the easiest to deploy. |

I think the old RA record from Molden Heath still stands where they dropped 2-3 titans and a mothership on a Myrmidon.
Anyone got the exact figure on that event?

Cyno to Cyno time is very very high. First jump on the other hand is quick as balls. If you jump into a mid point even with support theres still like 10minutes minimum before the supers are capped up to do another jump.
Also 15 cruisers of dps is still a minium of 3k-4.5k dps assuming 200-300 dps which is kind of low. If 2 or 3 of your ships managed to get tackled by lets say other cruisers of frigs there down in a very short amount of time. If your getting caught but battleship ships ur a baddie.
Battlecruisers are the only ship that prolly stand a chance (t1) of holding you down long enough to light a cyno, wait the 15-30 seconds for cap ships to load on grid on top of another minute just to target you.... Your starting to get the idea.
Also there fuel cost associated with moving cap fleets. My chimera for instance cost me about 5-6mil at a max jump range move. Supers use significanly more fuel to move a lot less distance.
With a small cap fleet (around 30-50 caps) doing a small op your looking at 75-150m per jump. Thats right the price of a battleship.

Why did you not leave when the cyno went up? Whatever comes through that cyno, even if it's industrial caps + support, you probably would not be able to handle with that gang. - - [SERVICE] Corp Standings For POS anchoring

All I heard was that they were happy with supercaps and their numbers. So don't expect a fix since it's "not broken".
