Step #1 - Start up my iMac
Step #2 - Either wait about 5 min or immediately open the EVE Client which I have named "Traq", which I've been told by CCP will ease the load on the computer.
Step #3 - Gaze at my brand new iMac as it freezes with nothing but a completely black screen. I can adjust the volume, but I cannot alt-tab out of the client, esc does nothing... nothing. So I'm forced to potentially damage my computer each time by holding the power button till it shuts down.
I've actually sent in a petition about this before and only received a very minimal response which did not fix the problem. If anyone else is having this problem please respond, if you've figured out how to avoid this very reliable bug/freeze, please, please let me know.
The same problem also occurs when logging out of one account and into another, the freeze occurs once the client attempts to start up again.

Try clearing out all your eve files, deleting eve 100%, redownload it and install. IF that doesn't salve the problem, then it might be one of your computer settings itself. Each time you change a computer setting it can (as most of us Mac users found out when 10.6 came out) cause problems when using other applications.

Edited by: Josefine Etrange on 31/03/2011 17:50:19 I can confirm the problem. And I can confirm that command+option+esc still works. Just close the crashed app. Poor you not knowing your OSX shortcuts. Than just restart eve.

Thanks, yea I need to learn a few more :P
I suppose I'll just have to be even more patient with it too in the future.
