Dear CCP,
I and many like my whom are your paying customers would like to yet again ask the question, "Why do you keep polishing the image of the game while so many mechanics remain broken or complete grabage, even in the face of outcries from the community?"
Case in point, why am I seeing videos from Fan Fest of things like "new turret models" seen here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tm8A1t9Y3ZQ
Why do I need to walk around in stations if I have a hard time jumping through a friggin gate to engage an enemy? Why am I able to jump through a gate, die to a bomb before I even load grid and yet warp my ship (which doesn't exist anymore) to a station, and dock in it, only to disconnect, log back in, and find myself in empire needing a new clone?
I don't give 2 ****s about how flashy the guns looks if I can't even load a grid for a fight! While I will admit the "node enforcement" strategy is a nice idea, it doesn't solve spur of the moment engagements, which is kind of the point in war yes?
Why do nuetral reppers in empire = automatic win with no aggression counters?
The game is beautiful, but it plays like a brick **** house trying to fly. . . The ship models, planets, avatars, they're all AWESOME, leaps and bounds over what they used to be back in 2003/04/05 but the game is broken. You love to tote the aspect that the Eve universe is set on a single server, but the game play is lacking because of that fact. Look at WoW for a cheap shot example (because 90% of Eve players hate WoW myself included) That game looks like ****, but I've never heard of anyone complaining that they died before the game even loaded eh!?!?! Or that they were able to run away from a fight with a dead character. Or that there character was stuck in a sword slash for 20 minutes (comparable to the module lock lag seen in fleet engagements).
OVERAL POINT HERE CCP - If I throw a new paintjob on a car from the junkyard it is not a brand new awesome car, is a pretty piece of ****. I'd rather drive a car with a ****ty paint job and a big block under the hood.

Because the people working on graphics are NOT the people working on the code. So .. you prefer they sit with their thumbs up their.. bleep while waiting for the other issues to be resolved?

I really like the new turret models and don't suffer from any of the issues you complain about, so new turrets and nebulas=a huge WIN in my book. Thanks CCP for making my gameplay experience even more awesome.

Nah, just fire em and hire code writers and systems analysts. Graphic designers are a dime a dozen tbh. Or better yet, resource em over to CCPs other programs, ohhh make em do something useful and intelligent!!
And yes, my Biscuit is limp and soggy, but at least it loads grid when its supposed to!

What people need to understand is that CCP, utilise a TEAM BASED development strategy.. As you (should) know, there is a team dedicated to fixing lag, called Team Gridlock. There is a team that is revising small aspects of EVE to make a big difference, called team BFFs. Just because Walking in Stations / Incarna is in the works, does not mean EVERY SINGLE CCP DEVELOPER is working SOLEY on it.

And then you will complain that EVE is too buggy due to a poor testing system etc. It always goes from one thing to another. But i suppose CCP accepted ages ago that you simply cannot please everyone.

Edited by: Asuka Solo on 31/03/2011 16:38:43 It's called the classic Eve client. It doesn't have any shiny to speak of. Check it out.
Personally, I wish CCP would add more multi-layered, multi-sampled, hexigonal shinyness and then some glare and AA effects for said glare.
I want CCP to melt my 3d card(s) with pure awesomeness.

Don't lie Shiny = WIN!
The only issue your having issues is caused by fly in blobs. so stop flying in blobs the size of Jita and learn to pvp.
Just saying. ----------- Born Amarr, Raised Minmatar. |

It's been said before, and certainly it's been said better, but basically he is right, the game strat code needs more attention than the shiny shiny.

Edited by: deart laves on 01/04/2011 02:37:13 Dear Lord Whiny Biscuit,
I for one get frustrated with some of the lag that goes on. But constantly sitting back and whining and complaining about just makes you look like a whiny @$$ and ignorant. CCP has employees that work on different areas of the game. The new "shiny" is worked on by different people and is meant as an aspect to help bring in new players while appealing to those of us who like new "shiny" things. ( I am one of those people ) Meanwhile, there are others who are working on improving lag "spatial anomolies" for those large alliances that like blob fights. Lastly, it's a game. GET OVER IT. No one forces you to do the things that you do so if you don't like losing ships go back to empire. Or, since WoW is so great go play it.

Shinies are very important. Game needs to be presentable so that they can get all their new subscribers to make their moneys to pay their devs and coders to fix the real problems.
Plus, I've had enough of turrets being super-glued to my boat.
