Tabs in your inventory that you can create, delete, and name as you please, would be very nice. It would help keep things neat and orderly. Or when your moving stuff for a few other people, their stuff doesn't get mixed up. And maby if weapons automaticly went with weapons, and minerals with minerals.

Been suggested before, about once a month. CCP have provided their solution on the form of cargo cans and station warehouses. Macrointel, the place were the nature order of the universe does not hold sway. Pirates and ore thief's are congratulated by carebears for the actions. |

Edited by: Johnny Lou on 02/04/2011 16:04:01 Can you create remote contracts for items in station warehouse? I only used station containers and I couldn't.
Also, I don't think you can do a search in the assets window and have it include items in containers as well. Or open a container remotely and do a search in it.
Containers are a good stepping stone to tabs. (unless they implement the search and contracts for items in remote containers as well in which case they might be a feasible alternative to tabs)

containers are perfectly good example of a feature adding complexity with no real benefits. Sure they add some immersion 'stuff belongs somewhere' but it's quite weak imo.

Well imagine the inside of a ships cargo. It wouldn't be just piles of guns and asteroid dirt every where, piled into corners. It would all be inside big creats, that you can lable, or move to another part of the ship to keep it with the same type of stuff, or the same owner's stuff. So tabs would be an immersion type thing.

the problem with station cans, is that while they've got a freaking huge capacity, there is no way to move them when you move your homebase (say... a carebear finally going yarr) at least let us repackage station containers CCP - you can make a packaged station warehouse about the same size as a packaged BC - too big to move for anything but the most extreme of relocations, and small enough to actually be moved...
