This would be a good idea if they didn't remove anything and instead just made it so lower nullsec has more sanctums/havens.
because this wont change anything at all, everybody would keep farming ISK, only the "core" alliances would farm even more. With the upcoming change, the meatshields melt, which is the best idea CCP had recently. Either stop being crap and join a real alliance or go back to empire.

Personally I think CCP should add to this and make moon goo dynamic. Let it run out at some point on one moon and spawn a new vein on another moon somewhere else.
OMG! What am I saying? The tears would be epic!

the said "small up coming alliances" join a powerblock anyways as pet because they dont have any chance anyways alone. Actually, what they are doing is blowing up existing powerblocks with hordes of people which are too crap for the main "core" alliances

so rather than fight for space as a new alliance become a pet and hope the power block dont shoot you?
is that what ccp wanted is it?

it IS the way the game is played now. All pets are placed in crappy regions as meatshields, which only works due to system upgrades. No small alliance fights for their space, they just join existing blob. This wont work anymore when the upcoming patch because there will be not enough space for all.

Tell me something, after all the years and attempts to "fix" null space, when has CCP succeeded? CCP quite frankly has no clue how to fix anything The new changes are just another in a long list of attempts to throw crap against the wall and see if it sticks. The Law of Unintended Consequences will once again prevail and in 6 months CCP will have another scheme to "fix" things.

You know.. once the military index gets to level 5, you get one anomaly called Forlorn Hub. If you manage to run it efficiently, you can pull off 15 to 20m per cycle with it.

Not that everything in the Unity patch spoof is in line with what I want by a long shot, but it's a damn sight better than anything I've seen in the last two years or are likely to see in the next 3 or 4.

no small alliance is going to fight for space after this, as that space is worthless or if it is worth something its taken up by a power block. all this does is decrease reasons to fight not increase them. why fight for crappy space, its crappy.

That moving people back to empire is still a change, and that this this change is the complete opposite of the stated goal of the change. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

sure it does. Those said pet alliances are actually for carebearing there. They only get in pvp ships when a blob is required and they cant rat. But its not their main purpose why they are there. Thus, if all reasons for them being there vanishes, they will leave and go back to empire and stay there, what the blob reduction I expect from.

Some people here seem to have greatly disliked the influx of population in 0.0 brought on by Dominion. They voice their displeasure towards this fact with...well, let's call it lack of taste.
Hate to break it to those people, but the bugger a lot of players have with CCP is that they repeatedly stated they want MORE people in 0.0
They even maintain that these changes will still bring people to 0.0. We don't believe that will happen, hence all the rage.
To the people who dislike company in 0.0: you are the few in EVE. I hope you get blobbed to death and cry because of it, in spite of these nerfs.

its about the bait and switch that ccp have pulled on them imo. put the hard work in to moving, hauling, upgrading and paying for you space and then we take all that effort and make it worthless for no real reason apart from we can.
peopel ahve always done what they can to make isk. mission run, anoms, hell some even mine. this wont change that, it just changes the location in which they can do it. before dom most ran missions to fund 0.0 life, since then they have ran anoms. after this change it will be missions again.
nothing else will change imo. making this whole change pointless, unless they just wnat to p*ss off people that have invested the time and energy to make a place in 0.0 as profitible as running lv4 missions

no, Dominion brought us massive NAPs and pet-trains. This was a mistake and will stop again when the patch hits the server. This is the change.

these were around before dom. they will be around after this change.
the only good thing about dom was the ability of peopel to make lv4 income in 0.0. this is the only thing that will change.
as ive said, the mission alts will just retrun to empire. nothing else will happen

i'm not sure what type of players you refer to, but if it¦s "pve" players ranting null-sec system i could not care less, and if it's the alliances who rant the space out, they already had more then they needed.

there were blobs before, yes, but not of that scale like today. I didnt say it would remove blobs at all, I said the patch will reduce them to a reasonable level again, you know, there wont be cluster**** fleets consisting of 1 month old players in drakes lagging the nodes the **** out. Before dominion, a single region wasnt able to provide 20 alliances and 150 corporations with ISK. With Dominion there was suddenly a lot of ISK and unused room, which was populated with meat shields. F*ck them all.

lets look at what ccp say the Expected consequences of this change are
Expected consequences
Some alliances will immediately start wanting to look for better space In the longer run, there'll be more conflicts going on, with more localized goals Newer alliances will have an easier time getting a foothold in nullsec Coalitions will be marginally less stable Alliances will have to choose more carefully what space they develop, where their staging systems are, and so on (low truesec systems generally tend to be in strategically inconvenient places)
so ccp expects alliances to fight over lower truesec systems this has been going on for years most of the low truesec systems generally tend to have outpots this made them a strategically important target for any attack on a region.
Newer alliances smaller will have a vary easy way to 0.0 space yes i kind of agree with, much waste land about that the Big Alliances will not want to pay the sov bills for but how many will have a the man power to hold them for long only time will tell.
Coalitions will be marginally less stable humm most of the Coalitions have history going back over years it will take more then a few Havens and Sanctums to brake up the likes of best friends forever and the Russians power blocks.

strange tbh, i remeber being in 1200 man fleet fights 2 years ago. many alliances and corps took part. pretty much the same as now tbh. since dom no region has been able to support 20 alliances and 150 corps. nothing will change just the mission alts will be back...lol

big major battles with 1200 dudes were possible years ago, yes.
Today, we have 2000 dudes in geminate, 1000 dudes in pure blind and a couple of 500 man goon/TEST blobs in fountain.
There will be simply no space anymore for that many people, people who were in 0.0 only for ratting (a lot of dudes) will leave completely.

so this patch is to reduce the size of fleet fights? and thats a good thing?
i belived what ccp said about 0.0 needing to support more people, now we have more peopel thats a bad thing

I guess they wanted getting more people into 0.0 for more interesting conflicts there. Instead of that we got massive blueballs and clusterf*cks.

so 0.0 shoudl be less populated to compensate for blue balls and failing fc's, are you ****ing joking?

because it lags less, for instance. And its not only about the fleet sizes at all, like I wrote above. You put it that simple and you got a simple answer. Now you request reasons, so read the thread.

I just pointed out that CCPs original intention of more people in 0.0 went wrong possibly, for whatever reason doesnt really matter.
