Captains quarters will have a gym corner and thus bodybuilding will become popular in the near future.

Yeah but why? I looked the price history, I didn't see any significant spike in transaction volumes recently... ____________________________________ Fulbert Industrialist - Casual Trader EVE Online, the best browser MMO of them all |

Yeah but why? I looked the price history, I didn't see any significant spike in transaction volumes recently...
Then the demand must have been greater than the supply.

Maybe somebody is trying to design a juicer cow for heavy ground combat, maybe in time for Dust 514 (though it'll probably be hard not to be in time for a CCP project).

It's been several months since I watched PI goods prices closely, but at that point they had a general pattern; Stocks of a good run out, prices spike until it's (one of/the) most profitable P1. FOTM crowd switches to make it, in 1-2 weeks it becomes hugely oversupplied, price crashes. Traders stock up on it at the low, low crashed price. FOTM crowd switches to the next "most profitable" good, and demand is again a bit higher than supply. Trader stockpiles cover the difference and are slowly eaten away until they're depleted. GOTO "Stocks of a good run out".

Wish list for PI:
*One-click input routing *Copy product, inputs & outputs in factories *Launchpad upgrades: twice the space, twice the cost, half the hassle! [ /sig ] |

Sorry, my bad. Next time IÆll leave some for everybody else.
But seriously itÆs one of those PI mats that are generally hard to find a half-way decent deposit or even nuggets in highsec, and the price was too low to be interesting on a large scale to low/null/wh extractors. ThatÆs my little theory anyway.
PI extraction is very FOTM, some p1Æs fill buy orders nearly as quickly as an order for minerals, and some seem like almost nobody is extracting them so all but the most insanely overpriced sell orders get cleared out regularly.
Proteins, Industrial Fibers, Oxidizing Compound, Silicon, and Biomass are fairly hard to extract in highsec, and to a lesser extent Electrolytes, Precious Metals, and Chiral Structures.
Precious Metals make my list not because of a lack of deposits but because of general over-extraction due to their heavy over-use in POS fuel production. (Used in 3 out of 5 products.)
IÆve also occasionally noticed with some of the above mats that someone will come in and jump the buy orders by 50 or 100 isk, which will raise the price pretty fast when combined with the sell orders being devoid of all but the insanely overpriced orders. Not sure if those people are trying to raise the price or just think theyÆre being smart and that no one will .01 them just as quickly as if they had simply .01Æed it.

I've been trying to aquire these recently, offering the best price in jita and dixie @325 and @301 respectively. Very low volumes came in over the last 2 weeks. Stocks in dixie non-existant, and fairly thin in Jita. I also noticed the whale activity, they came in and reset the market to 1000: they bought up all the stocks and put em up for sale at the new higher price. Other sellers have come in to drop it a bit, but I think the new price is here to stay. There just isn't that much of it being sold in empire right now. I can get any other mat on buy orders in large quantities, but not proteins. |
