So, I thought when PI first came out that it was gonna bea failed experement. but now its everywhere. I have honestly ignored it for the most part lol.
so i might as well get current, I'm sure by now there's 100 tutorials out there. can anyone linke me to a good one?
also, is it worth the training? TBH if im only gonna make 1 mill a day on PI then it's not really gonna be worth diveritng my pvp training for.
anyone?

PI is in much better state then it used to be. But generally speaking, if you don't move around much then you should definitely look into it.

If you have access to 0.0, do it If you have access to a WH, do it If you like to watch markets and live near Jita, do it If you don't mind regular requirements to do non-pvp stuff, do it
If you hate hauling, market watching, double clicking the same things over and over, don't do it

Lots of hauling and the risk of being ganked makes it not worth the time.
Product prices are in a general decline and it might become totally a waste of time in future, as you predicted when it came out...

Who knows, with the upcoming Dust 514, PI might be really cool.
"The game features users fighting ground battles in wars on planets in the Eve Online universe.[3] According to a preview by Edge, the events that happen in this game will affect the EVE Online universe. Battles in this game can also determine who controls various planets in the EVE universe, and users in DUST 514 can interact with users from the EVE universe such as providing mercenary assistance."

Train each skill to III and you should be making 100 million a week if you do it right. It's all about location and logistics.

So, I live in a C6 WH, we have a tower and a large alliance to watch our back.
PI is worth it then eh?
and lvl 3 = 100mill/week? that's pretty good, definatly with the invest.
what kind of isk can u make w/ lvl 5's? if i invest my alt 100% into PI skills for the next few months, will it be worth the payout?

"doing it right" requires having WH/ 0.0/very low sec.
Or spending a lot of time chasing market and things like that.
I buy mission loot in bulk at above buy order prices! (sinq laison) |

3 days later and I have 4 million isk worth of rocket fuel......... waste of time much?
that's like 1 mission pocket worth of bounties on the lamest L4
every time Im tempted to try anything else other than hump L4's i get punished..

Smells like lack of intelligence, no? However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

Hi All
Lots of people are asking if PI is worth it. If your into mining or in a wormhole it is, as for pvp and mission runners i am not so sure. I have just moved into a class 3 wormhole and i have a lvl 5 pi char that mines 6 planets. 5 for pos fuel and 1 for strip mining for pure profit. The profit pi brings me in around 120mil a month for a few clicks every 3 days. I have also found that a 3 day cycle is best for me. I hope this information has helped :) have fun fly safe

its a little more interactive then having RnD agents as a passive income, its also alot easier to train for. about four days of training and 5m in skills will get you a access to the range of activities available. I've set it up to be interacted with once or twice a week. I run a 7 day extractor cycle with one P1 product per planet. and do all of my adv manufacturing on another. robotics works well for this model.

I just started doing PI literally this morning, and I'm curious what others experiences are.
I'm in a c5 wormhole, and have access to up to 6 planets that can make coolant, and one other than can do mechanical parts.
Are POS fuels typically my best bet? Or is it more proffitable to just churn out say the max amount of "Precious metals" I could.
I can't do any commodities more advanced than 3rd tier. Oxygen, Coolant, and Mech parts seem to be it.

I do PI for supplemental income on my. For example, one character can make enough material with minimal training to fuel a small POS using high-sec planets with very little effort (10 minutes attention every two days). If you were to really take a few hours and plan it out, you could make a nice sum of isk or supply yourself a health amount of items for other things. PI is not hard, but it does require more concentration than popping rats, at least while setting up.

I've found it worth it as a small suplemental income in High-Sec. Training each of the skills to 3 doesn't take much time and allows you to get a Command Center up to a level where you can produce 1x P2 commodity per planet. The initial outlay for 4 planets was around 25mill, and it brings me around 20mill a week with no upkeep costs. Obviously there's much better money to be made in 0.0 with higher skills, a logistics network for P4 production, and a watch on the markets for what brings in the profit, but as a casual side venture I think 20mill a week for 5 mins of maintenance work a day and a haulage run once a week is worth doing.

Figure out if it's worth your time, then decide.
Can you make more ISK, in the same amount of time, doing something else?
PI is like Solitaire... it's something to keep in the background when you're really bored at work.
