It would be nice with an option to spawn a basic browser window, out side the standard web browser. On the eve login screen if i click the news button, the news is shown in a browser window without any browser controls, can i in some way use this in-game for my own apps?
If it was possible to use browser windows like that, it would be possible to make web apps with the look and feel of in-game apps, which would be really nice.

And I for one would never use anything you designed that way. Just like popup windows in normal browse once you as a designer start thinking you need to limit the viewer's control over stuff you're wrong.

And if someone decided to make one that looks just like your corp or alliance chat window so they could "listen in" that would be ok with you also right? This is a bad idea that I hope was thought of by CCP and blocked. -- Finds camping stations from the inside much easier. Designer of Yapeal for Eve API.

That would be so very likely, guess you often lack a lot of secrets in the public channel...

This is actually something that we want to do; to allow you to have several Ingame browser windows open at once with 'thin' browser UI to allow for more seamless functionality (while at the same time being careful that it doesn't open up spoofing issues).

Would it be possible to get a "quick bar" menu, like the one used for the accessories menu, with the calculator, logs, etc.
Would be pretty sweet to have a menu like that to add urls for apps to, maybe something with a simple xml manifest the would tell the menu the title of the apps, what url to use, and where it would find the menu icon for the app.

First step towards a flexible and modifiable UI. Fully supporting this, hope you get allocated development time for this. --

Edited by: Shellac Brookdale on 06/04/2011 20:25:35 It would be a start if any link clicked in chat would not overwrite the current tab, but create a new tab instead. Many people have tools and maps open but use to minimize the browser. Clicking e.g. on a KB link will replaced the opened page with a new one. Afterwards the user will just close the "new" tab (thats what he thinks) just to find that one of the previous opened pages is gone. Very annoying.

*supporting this*
It kills my radar tracking if you're clicking on some random 4chan.org links from your local chat.
