The day CCP starts listening to the screaming, crying, "do-things-my-way-or-i-will-scream" minority will be the day Eve goes down the drain.
There's no doubt that there's an extremely unhappy loud minority that includes the likes of Akita T. For the past oh, 3 or 4 years CCP has done nothing but upset them. Patch after patch after patch CCP some how manages to surprise and dissappoint them again and again and again. And they've been quite vocal about their unhappiness, threatening to cancel their 20+ subscriptions since who knows how long, going to the press to whine on how CCP sucks, predicting doom and gloom, personally insulting CCP employees, etc.
When you own a business you have to deal with these types of customers. But make no mistake, forum warriors DO NOT REPRESENT the Eve community. They DO NOT REPRESENT what's best for Eve. It's not even about what's best for the game. It's about what's "best for ME, ME, and ME, or I will cancel my 20 subscritptions and EVE will then DIE a horrible death afterwards".

Sorry but, are you an idiot or just stupid?
Have i said do it my way? have i said i will cancel my accounts???? What i have said, IS that they're not listening to anyone of us, stuff gets released without or minor testing, they're promising shiney stuff all day long, and nothing happens, see Incanrna (4 years?) See the 72 Pages Thread about POSes, and no comment form CCP, see the forums just as an example.
It's about the overall situation.

Holy crap, I'm agreeing with it.
But seriously, where I work, people would be fired for this kind of fail. I don't mind the new forums functionally or aesthetically (which is super subjective), but if it took them that long to modify a FOSS forum with some jquery and left a hole that big it, then I don't even.
I blame the entire .NET ecosystem, tbh.

Having a ***** attack because a new internet forum has glitches and could use improvement is, in my opinion, a bit over the top.

I know you didn't aim it at me, but what CCP did was grade A amateur hour there. As I said, I blame the development culture that .NET (and to a lesser degree, Java) have wrought. In simple terms, wizard driven development environments with a host of productivity "enhancers" don't do a particularly good job of nurturing good programmers. Neither does the "educational" ecosystem built up around these products.

After spending far too much of my Saturday work day yesterday trolling around SCH, the facebook comments section and EVENews24, I was sure of one thing. No other game community is comprised of more whiners, *****babies and emoragequit losers than Eve. I should start taking bets on how long it will be before some idiot starts a thread threatening a class action lawsuit over the state of the forums.
Then, latter last night, I finally got the chance to log into my version of reality (tranquility) and after a while realized that I was one of only a few in my alliance that even knew the forums had been up and down all day. Chill the eff out people. Eve, nor CCP owes you anything. If you are going to quit because "CCP DOZENT LISTIN TO MEZ", please contract me your mining cruiser and your itty 3 full of all the Tritanium and T1 modules that were going to make you billions.... once you got your manufacturing arm into full swing.

You could have my officer fitted legion or loki, BUT
as you are not aware, of the risk CCP has put as all (credit card indormations, personal informatiosn) you won't get it.
I seriously wouldn't wonder if some guy from Alliance A gets visited by some guys from Alliance B (unbelivible but that could happen, becouse thoose informations have been avaiable at to the internet)

No... I am not aware that credit card information was ever as risk. Do tell.
While your at it... tell me what a person uses both a officer fit Legion and an Officer fit Loki for? PvE? Why not just go with the Tengu? PvP? Where do you roam?

It wasn't "glitches and could use improvements". It was "gaping holes and needed to be taken down immediately".
There's nothing wrong with someone not understanding the potential this issues had, but don't go telling everyone to calm down just because the things you do understand don't warrant such a harsh reaction.

I will give them credit for doing the right thing, however. If this had turned into some kind of "we're sticking to our guns" thing, it would have been pretty tragic.

The player who was forced to make a big deal out of it and demonstrate the issue because CCP were ignoring his bug report and closing his petitions got banned.
Yet again CCP send the same message, cheating quietly is fine, but if you dare to push to get the game fixed you can expect to be banned.

he was also accessing the csm and isd forums which he is definitely not supposed to. that's ban-worthy, but i think that his restraint from not going through the admin panel, and notifying ccp should count for something and i dont think it should be a permanent ban
