Hello
So.. My question is
After 8 years
Why do u still complain? You know CCP is useless n doesn't give two hoots about the player base doing as they please and generally ignoring any complaints
CSM - Complete joke
So my comment is this, enuff with the *nerd rage* emo posts about cancelling your accounts. Just do it. You either love eve like i do and will never quit aslong as the game runs or, ur a kid with a bad attitude.
So either quit or stfu, had enuff

Here's the deal, Incarna is happening. Not only is it happening, its a good thing. The game is going to explode (hopefully in a good way) once Incarna drops. The vets can cry all they want, but the subscriber count is going to skyrocket and that is a good thing regardless of what you do in Eve.
Everyone keeps deriding the new shiny stuff. Ok fine, lets all switch back to pre-trinity graphics, remove wormholes, remove outposts, remove FW and while were at it, remove all T2 mods and ships from the game.... Its all just fluff right. And then was the collective whine a year or two about how CCP needed to stop doing big giant expansions with new content and instead do smaller expansions focusing on improving existing gameplay. They do that and everyone starts threads like "Incursion: Worst expansion EVER!"
At this point, CCP cant give away a tricked out, EVE branded gaming desktop with 2 pages of cumulative whines.
Several people have already mentioned the fact that these forums represent about 1.67% of the player base. There is a reason CCP shouldn't spend all its time listening to you.

no one is making you read all the moaning, it's pretty obvious half the time by the thread title as to if it will contain said moaning. If you feel most of the forum is just people moaning then to you sir I say no one is making you read the forums......

Its bitter people. Akita T... Correct me if I am wrong, but I didn't hear you complaining about PI implementation when you were using parts bought from NPC's to build robotics that were then sold back to NPC's, for a (large) profit.
The initial implementation of PI was FUBAR in every respect, but it allowed for gaming of the system to generate billions, and thus received about 1/10th the amount of negative forums posts as the stupid new forums.
Yes, the whiners are a minority.

tbh, I as a so called "bitter vet", don't mind Incarna. I actually am waiting for it. it's a good way to provide a bigger playerbase and at the same time some rehashing to the game.
what worries me about however, is CCP's lack of commitment to quality, something they have touted for quite some time now.
it might come as whining to some, but me and many like me like this game, and don't want it to be ruined by mistakes that could've been avoided. ---

and that's the major issue many people have really. A prime example is the new forums. Do the forums need an upgrade? well yes they do. But not forums that are basically broken from the start.
in my view it was never a problem of content, it was a problem of deployment. As Akita posted on the thread in the Assembly hall, it's like we don't have any QA, or if we have it must be understaffed and overworked and/or lack any saying power in the go/no go of any code deployment into the live server, because there's always a ****ton of bugs that are reported in the test phases and they still get to the live server. ---

Yes, you are wrong. TERRIBLY wrong. Correction incoming.
I was one of the first to point it out, loudly complain about it, trying to force CCP to DO SOMETHING ALREADY, giving suggestions and gathering feedback WHILE REFUSING TO PROFIT FROM IT PERSONALLY IN ANY WAY OUT OF GENERAL PRINCIPLES. PARTIAL PROOF - 34 page thread !!!
You'd have to take my word for it that I didn't make a single cent off of it, because I can't prove it. I actually "lost" 2 mil (mil, not bil) ISK on it by purchasing one of the first P4 items that were up on the market, out of curiosity. That was what got the thread rolling, and I kept updating it as much as possible.

I was one of the first to point it out, loudly complain about it, trying to force CCP to DO SOMETHING ALREADY, giving suggestions (which ended up pretty much completely ignored while the arguably WORST POSSIBLE solution was chosen, very late into it all too) and gathering feedback (between verbal jabs at CCP, especially early on and after lackluster feedback) WHILE (EVENTUALLY) REFUSING TO PROFIT FROM IT PERSONALLY IN ANY WAY OUT OF GENERAL PRINCIPLES (even if I was very, very tempted to, I ended up considering it too close to an exploit to justify, well, exploiting it). PARTIAL PROOF - 34 page thread !!!

Fair enough, i'll stand corrected. So lets try and build a bridge here. -You agree that the implementation of PI was completely borked from before the start as CCP made the boneheaded move of leaving PI materials on the NPC market. -You also agree that aside from you and possibly a handful of other posters, the outcry associated with PI rollout was but a whimper compared to what we are witnessing in regards to the new forums. -And this is likely the result of not being able to turn a profit from the abject failure of the new forums.
PS. I also stand corrected about the security vulnerability's of the new forums. From what I read it was possible to inject malicious code and create links to fake website. But, it does not appear that it actually happened.

It is when people stop complaining and silently leave they get worried.
Complaining is a sign of a healthy community.
