1 Month before Fanfest it was said CQ will hit SISI right before fanfest right before fanfest you delayed CQ until 1 - 2 weeks after Fanfest it's 2,5 weeks after Fanfest, and still not even any kind of info...
Whats going on, are you really thinking we will forget about it again!?

Just go to hibernation until they actually release the feature(or parts of it). Whatever the feature will contain, in all likelyhood it's still going to be a bit buggy and barely playable even at launch. Missing out on the first few test runs where it crashes the server or most of the features don't work at all isn't going to be a huge loss for you. Video of it is going to youtube anyway as soon as it's available, so you'll get a free preview of it even if you don't get to test it personally in the first stages.

Better let CCP do its job and finish this feature properly (see forum incidents). I for one don't want rushed features. Can't wait to get my dirty hands on it when it hits the test server though.

You are a ******ed moron, you should be thankful you even get to test anything ahead of time you should be happy you are given a server. How to WoW see how Blizzard takes care of you. This is a privilege you are being given, CCP gave you a fist but you are so greedy you took entire hand.
I really hope that CCP just for that makes us wait another 2 months.

Strangely enough I thought exactly the same thing I think "CCP gave you the finger and you took the whole hand" would probably be more appropriate.

now think again what i have said, it's not about "wheee i want CQ NAO!", it's in generall about CCP promissing stuff and not willing to either deliver it or tell us that it isn't finished yet and it needs further work.

You are an idiot, they can say hey we will deploy it on sisi 2 weeks after today, but they dont need to its their choice. Whit sisi you are given something that people playing other games dont get go play WoW see how Blizzard treats you. You say 1 thing they dont like and they ban you forever.
Anyways you are ******ed cuss you expect that CCP owes you anything on Sisi or they need to keep their word to anything regarding Sisi.
Just because of you whiners i really really hope they dont release it all until the incarna.

The dev blog said we'd get to see CQ before fanfest. The week before fanfest Sisi was down for a few days and just before fanfest started, this was posted in General Discussion.
Originally by: CCP Chiliad Edited by: CCP Chiliad on 21/03/2011 21:16:56
In my dev blog I mentioned that we're aiming to deliver a Work in Progress, development version of the Captain's Quarters to the Singularity test server.
Unfortunately I bring bad news. This will have to wait until after Fanfest.
Normally taking a version of the static data (gameplay values of EVE, or simply content) into a production build for deployment and quality assurance is a straightforward process. With Captain's Quarters we ran into issues with the sheer mass of changes, sneaky legacy static data changes that have never been in a live production build and defects masking other underlying defects. In the end we simply ran out of time in our deployment schedule to get the build into your hands on time.
We'll unveil the details on this first Incarna feature in the coming Friday at Fanfest. This will include what's been developed so far, what will be done before the summer expansion and the plans we have for Incarna features in the expansions to come. I'll get back to you with an updated test server date after we have recuperated from the coming week of healthy sports and some modest recreational activities.
Of course at fanfest they did talk about CQ and they did mention that CQ will possibly be available in one or two weeks. Now it's past the second week, still no word from a dev about the status of CQ as far as I can find.
But considering the above dev post, the most likely issue is that they still can't get a stable version to run on Sisi, and until they do, we're stuck waiting.
Don't hold your breath but check back every day.

Edited by: Jada Maroo on 12/04/2011 16:19:09 I can understand and pardon delays on something so complex as the CQ -- it is, after all, changing the way we interact with almost everything while docked.
What I can't excuse is not giving us a brief update on the progress of deployment. We don't need a full dev blog on the situation, just a post saying "We've run into some problems integrating PI into the CQ screen" or something.
Is it too much to ask to give the occasional update?
Seriously, if you hype something to the extent that the CQ and Incarna has been hyped and miss two deadlines, you can't fault players for getting a bit impatient.

The realty is that coding is not always straight forward. When you run into a total failure point in the code, you back up, work out what caused that failure point, get a list of things that failed at or need to be fixed, created, or recoded to get past that point, work your way through that list and fix/code/recode everything you need to get past that point, compile code, run . . . and run smack into another total failure point that was probably masked by the simple fact that the system was never able to get to that second failure point in the first place.
On top of that you have to hope that some of the work you did to get past the original failure point is now part of the problm with the current failure point.
.End of line.

ehm im know, coding since 2004 in .net, c-sharp
but if i promisse my customers a feature and i'll be able to show something in 2 weeks, and then STFU for 3 weeks, i'll be ripped apart. that's what i'm saying.
They have time to implement something absolutly useless like the server side stored fittings, but no time to write even one sentence.

Edited by: Raid''En on 13/04/2011 14:29:35 they always tell us that doing the small things is not an issue as it's not the same team working on it, however we never see 2 things at the same time... so there's something strange.
here we're talking on something on the test server, so it WILL be bugged. so stop reporting this because it is, it's not something going live, just make sure it's playable, and without risk for us.
i'm tired whining about how much you're late, please get it to us so i can whine because the feature is ****. (what ? at least i'm honest :p) ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

Well, considering this was the main reason for coming to EVE, I hope they add this content in the future patch over the summer (live server). Still upset that the new user interface wasn't implemented like they talked about b/4 I came back.

this is more or less what they do with features in development, not realy a suprise from me for how they do things. considering what they have planed for the bundled feature, I Honestly I would not be suprised to find out that its pushed back to Fall, winter or even spring 2012.

ok Something I keep forgetting that people dont realise about mmo (and game development companies in general)
you may be familiar with the following good programing practices.
for a long time thoes have been strictly optional. in fact from what I understand Documentation remains a hit or miss afair with them.
You also hear people refering to EvEs code as Spagettii code.
they are not jokeing. they have been untangleing the Spagettii for most of the time I have been here.
