I've just become a member of EVE Onine, and the only problem i have encountered with EVE, is the Jukebox. When ever i open it it just keeps scrolling from the first song to last then it starts over again... I've also noticed that it is scrolling very fast and when i turn on shuffle it will shuffle but it still switches between 5-10 songs a second as it does at the same rate when shuffle is off...
is this a bug that others are having or did i get a faulty download?

Edited by: Lork Niffle on 12/04/2011 22:32:52 This is an issue with what codecs you have installed I believe, all otehr tyhreads I've seen were solved by installing different codecs. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

Are you by any chance running EVE client on Linux with WINE?
If so, this is a common issue. To solve it you need to recompile WINE with mpg123 library. Here is a relevant link:

In most cases this is caused by ffdshow filter/codec, that is part of the most codec packs. So if you have a codec pack installed uninstall the codec pack and then try again. If it works, try and find a updated version of the codec pack and install that, and then try again.
However, this is a known issue for Windows 7 N or Windows 7 KN installations. The N and KN versions of Windows 7 ship without the media player and media codecs due to a decision made by the European Union. A workaround is to install the Media Feature Pack for Windows 7 N and Windows 7 KN (KB968211), which can be downloaded from here.

Windows XP SP3, no codec pack, unless that ffdshow issue came with VLC. _____________________________ [Sebiestor tattoos and Intaki hair: NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER SURRENDER.] |

You can see if the ffdshow filter is installed by:
1. Run the DirectX diagnostics tool: Press Windows Key + R and in the 'Run' window type 'dxdiag' (without the '') and hit enter. When you do this, a window will pop up. 2. Click the "Save All Information" button that's located in its lower right corner. It's best to save it in TXT format, and save it on your Desktop to easily locate it. 3. Locate the DXDIAG.TXT file that you just saved and open it. Once open, simply search for the word ffdshow, and if it is in the list, it would mean you have the filter installed.
