- Change the haulers listing in points table so it's clear whether transports are allowed or if it's only T1 industrials like last time.
- What are the minimum points we can field in the pre-qualifiers ? 25 ? 30 ? if you just take the rules as they stand now then it's 50, which would be unreasonable IMO.
- "Any enemy ship sent home prior to the match via banning (Place & Tactics point 5) will NOT count towards points scored." Should delete this from the rules.
- "Flagship designs must be created in advance and their ship hull submitted to CCP Alliance Tournament via Evemail no later than 01/06/2011." Should remove the part about creating designs if all you're asking for is ship type and name...
- "With the expansion to four weekends, we will not be providing coverage of the pre-qualifying weekends."
What exactly does this mean ? Will these matches be uploaded to youtube ? Will there be IC coverage of pre-qual matches ? Audio coverage ? Or will we just have to wait on IRC/forums for the people competing to let us know how it went..

I will get the rules clarified a bit. To quickly answer:
1. T1 industrial ships only, no transports. 2. There are no minimum limits for the pre-qualifiers, but keep in mind that you need wins, not draws to proceed to the group stages. 3. We'll clarify that this rule doesn't apply anymore, but I'll keep it there just so we have a record of it actually being there to begin with. 4. As Mindstar mentioned in previous posts, fittings do not need to be submitted. This is an oversight from last years rules, which we used as a template, I will get them updated to reflect this 5. There will no video or audio coverage from CCP or the Expert team. We are looking into the possibilities of having IC or maybe some of the bigger radio stations being able to report, but this is still undecided.

No, as stated in the rules, you have 50 points and max 5 people

You're welcome !
That's too bad about no coverage at all, guess it's up to the teams to fraps their own matches then ;O
Pretty lame to radically change the tournament format and then not even record a large and interesting part of the event.
Maybe some (lots of) pro-videomakers can get guest passes to the tournament area and record them all for us ? I wouldn't expect ISD to have sufficient manpower with the right skillset to manage it..

This is something that would greatly help the tournament cause, get some drama going and whatnot. And if my memory serves me correctly, the eve radio servers get up to full listenership during the tournament. I even remember one year when split infinity radio was reboardcasting eve radio to lessen the load on their servers. -------------

cant you just put the jita 44 "cam" you use during matches in the pre-match arena?
im sure way more people would be interested in just watching that instead of people act ******ed in jita. |

How about you go read rules again before making stupid posts?
But to save you time. They are allowed on flagships and on nothing else.

It's actually in there -
Quote: Flagships are able to fit faction, officer, cosmos, and deadspace versions of the following modules, ignoring tournament rules to the contrary: * All Highslot Modules (not including remote armour repair modules, remote shield transfer modules, or cloaking devices) * Electronic Warfare Modules * Weapon Upgrade Modules * ONE Shield Booster or up to TWO Armour Repairers

Damnit CCP. I really don't understand why you year to year consistently crap on one of the only truly viable market outlets for COSMOS modules.
I just. Don't. Get it.

You're not too bright, are you? This is (mostly) a PvP contest, not an ISK contest. Flying around in hurricanes decked out in high-end mods would give you a distinct edge, but 10 bil ISK ships are out of reach for most alliances.

COSMOS modules typically offer t2-like performance, usually slightly worse performance than t2 for easier fitting. They would hardly make a ship setup cost 10b if they were allowed.
They were allowed in AT3 iirc and it didn't seem to be a big deal, they just got hit by the same nerf bat that wiped our pirate implants from the tournament.

I don't think there would be any harm in allowing them, but I'm kinda glad they aren't, would complicate things and make creating setups more time consuming.
Also a bit more expensive, but worst part is actually acquiring the modules. :effort:

Like the banning rule, CCP should really reconsider the choice not to air the qualifying matches in any way.
Just say "Nvidia" before and after the matches, or something.
