CCP is made up of many different teams, some of them are good and some of them are terrible, but I'm not going to crucify them for ignoring testing that they haven't even done yet.
--edit--
To clarify, I do expect that it will be a bit crap, and unfinished, but ranting about that feature now can only serve to decrease the signal to noise ratio, and just makes it all the easier for CCP to ignore our valid complaints once they're founded in solid reality (as opposed to expectations)

Well to be blunt the only real reason why the server performance improved was because things had finaly gotten so ****ing bad they had literaly no choice but to go in and actualy do something about it because they were literaly becomeing a laughing stock over the issue.
Up untill then there only real solution to the Database and server problem was to simply throw new hardware at it and make bandaid changes sutch as warp to 0 while yelling FIXED very very loudly.
heck the whole Pos Exploit was due to them putting a bandaid solution to the Database handling load and yelling FIXED realy loudly to eachother.
Were seeing the exact same mentality from the Incarna team that lead up to the Blowout with server preformance and to the POS exploit.
The are convinced that Moors law will bail them out of any problems in the long run, so in the mean time there just throwing code bandaids on the problem(each bandiad they throw on incidentaly actualy increases the processor load that Moors law needs to overcome!) while yelling FIXED realy realy loudly into megaphones.
.End of line.

It was up for a while, but they discovered some huge security holes so it was taken down until further notice.

Which means how soon Mr Guard? There are two sides to the EVE community; those that scream for change and those that scream against it. Often they are the same person. |

Ive mentioned this before, this is an alt account created to have a disposable scout, and later spawned a manufacturig alt on this account.
I have also been on Sisi fairly consistantly all this time
Frankly I have not seen any real improvment in there QC, if anything its gotten worse in part due to the big influx of inexperienced developers that has more than offset the actual real imrovment in QC standards at CCP.
On top of that they have a realy hardcore belife that Moors law will overtime cure all ills while blindly ignoring the reality that feature bloat has been stedily and consistantly outpaceing moors law.
And on top of that they seem to completly delude themselves that the plan to create there own "Secret sauce" will give them an edge big enough to outweigh all the disadvantages they have larded on themselves by keeping it secret sauce.
First off, literaly they have noone outside of there comapny who has any experience with what Carbon can do, so they will find themselves with a literaly geometricaly growing "training curve" for any and all new developers they bring into the mix,
Secondaly, they have created an Anti incentive to the Graphic card developers to front suport there system on there hardware. (honestly Ive seen the same speel from Nvidia and Microsoft with reguards to developers like Sony, Valve, Sigle, and a enless list of other developers. unfortnatly due to the "secret sauceing" thoes and a dozen other companies ultimatly had to pause development when suddenly the companies that DID make there sauce publicly avalible made requested updates on DivX or the Graphic card manufacturers or when "planed" upgrades that would have helped them out literaly never materialised because the harware /driverdevelopment went another way.
Honestly guys, stop kidding yourselvs, you dont have 10 million subs, you dont have 100k new accounts being created every week, you will not see the oldest licenced version of your sauce STILL SELLING more than 1 Million licenced copys every month a decade after you started licencing it. The only reason why Nvidia and crew are paying you any mind at this point is because your crazy enough to be developing it first. The Instant Unreal announces that they have a full up development team working on it(or Xbox-playstation announces the benchmarks for the next gen systems) you will be lucky if Nvidia returns your calls within a week. (Soes experience)

funny Guard could you give us some infos about CQ on SIUSI, prolly after the messed up Carbon UI ? or in another weeks or something ^^ This would stop all the threads about that.
How is the release gonna be: 1. 5/11 - CQ on SISI 2. 7/11 - CQ on TQ, WIS on SISI 2. 6/12 - WIS on SISI
^^

If Sisi is delayed, but the TQ launch is not.....
Maybe the bugs are all so obvious and breaking that they got to be killed before it can even get on Sisi, and once that is done there will be little left to do before it is TQ ready.
We will see. Normally the summer expansion is mid to end of May, a bit more than a month away.

not true... you can not be excellent 100% of the time
... even your blasters are no excellent
CCP is one of the best companies in gaming industry, which explores the new frontiers. All other companies copy paste stuff. CCP develops, it's a very demanding job. And you are proud when you've done something excellent.
Even champions are excellent just a few moments in/after performance, but CCP really shines when they release new content every 6 months and introduce it to the game. The game evolves, unlike WINDOWs, CCP does not throw away the previous world and build a new one each time.

am i the only one having the impression it means : "still trying to ask them, but they are ignoring me. and when i knock their doors, it's locked and they fake being absent" ? xD
well anyway, from what i heard from sisi, carbonui just got on sisi, and is heavily bugged... so they need to fix it, before releasing CQ, as it use the same code (right ?) but guys, you have duality ; if there's big bugs on a part of the space, why not putting CQ on duality, with impossibility to undock, so no importance for others bugs ? we don't need CQ for weeks for the 1st test, having it for a few days will be way enough, as we'll have for sure tons of things to ask you to fix / change / explain after a 1st look at it.

Originally by: Siiee Is the station environment really that light weight? True it's been a while but the last time I ran eve on a machine that was seriously underpowered (Geforce 6200m) the station environment was one of the highest loads in the client, just undocking would massively increase my FPS, as would working with the map open.
So I don't really get all these calls to keep station spinning for low powered machines, unless CCP has fixed .. buahahaha, sorry I couldn't even say that with a straight face :p
check the EVE settings menu - there currently is an option not to load the station environment (which will result in an unanimated image of your ship/the dock being displayed instead).
If they keep such an option after the release of Incarna I am perfectly fine, if not I will be pretty unhappy (as it would render my notebook unusable for EVE).
