Edited by: Echo Mae on 16/04/2011 02:24:36 I have two characters in the same corp, and in the same station.
One character can trade stuff to the other w/o a problem. However, the other character can not. There is no option available to it to trade items in station. Again, both characters are in the same corp, and station and it is not always the same character that is unable to initiate the trade, sometimes it is the other one that can't.
So my question is, is this a bug or working as intended?
I ask this because if it is a working as intended, then no need to file a bug report, but if it is a bug.. then I have to do some testing to get details on exactly what and how it happens. ----- ** ----- I thought I was real but found out I was just a forum troll |

Is one of them a trial? -- Did you know there's an alliance who's name you're not allowed to say, or website you're not allowed to link? |

Which means exactly what? I am sitting in station right his very second, and one toon can't trade to the other at all, but the other can trade to it.
Whatever your response means, do clarify.
~Edit: NEITHER account is a trial. Both are paid, and well used accounts with positive wallets. ----- ** ----- I thought I was real but found out I was just a forum troll |

As a temporary solution can you create a private contract from one to the other?

yes, easily. However, it seems odd that I can do a station trade with one character but not the other. This has happened now for a while, I 'think' possible since the Incursion patches but I don't honestly recall which one it started with. ----- ** ----- I thought I was real but found out I was just a forum troll |

The only way I can get the trade option to appear in the right click window is if I have "Guests" selected on the Station Information window instead of either Agents or Offices.
Working as intended. ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

Edited by: JC Anderson on 16/04/2011 02:35:31 Normally you would only encounter this with trial accounts. Where the trial can receive but not give assets/isk... It's been awhile and I can't remember the details. Could just be for ISK....
In any sense, I don't see any reason why this would happen with full accounts. Unless anybody else has any info on this, then I would assume it is a bug.

Maybe this is the problem?

both characters have agents selected. One can trade, the other can't. I will see if I can do the trade from the guests tab.

~Edit: Now, after having switched the character that couldn't trade over to the guests station tab. He can now trade to my other toon from all chat tabs. The other character still has no trouble trading from the agents tab in corp/alliance channels etc.
Glad the problem resolved itself.
Chalk it up to a temporary bug or issue. ;)

Confirmed, happened just now to me too.
Both characters are paying accounts. One could trade other couldnt (both had agents open), switched the one that couldnt trade to Guests and back and then she could trade too.

I've never been able to alt trade unless I right clicked from the guest list. Corp, fleet, local none of that mattered. I had to right click from the guest bar. If you for some reason can't right click in guest list to trade I don't know. I do understand why you would try and avoid that if you are in say Jita IV 4 or some place similar but it's just one of those EVE things I never really though about. |

I've always found that the first character to dock is able to initiate a trade from the list of users in a chat channel, but the second character has to use the guest list. Very weird.
