I see loadouts for the Tengu that have 6 launcher slots. How is that possible? My Tengu only has 5 launchers slots available.

One of the Engineering subsystems gives you another launcher. The cap amount one, IIRC. The Grid one gives you another turret... booooooooo

My Tengu configuration:
Tengu Defensive - Amplification Node Tengu Propulsion - Fuel Catalyst Tengu Electronics - Dissolution Sequencer Tengu Engineering - Augmented Capacitor Reservoir Tengu Offensive - Accelerated Ejection Bay
That gives 4 low slows, 6 mid slots, 6 high slots, and 6 launcher hardpoints.

Tengus do not need to be cap stable.
If you think otherwise your just bad.
If you don't think your bad for thinking this then you are delusional.

But they need the extra launcher and the cap subsystem is the only way to get it. So the Tengu will get more cap because it needs another launcher.
2/6/7 is a pretty sweet slot layout for a cruiser hull.

A five launcher Tengu better be making up for this in tank because if it doesn't it's a failfit. If you still don't understand how is it possible for Tengus to have six launchers and yet you are flying a T3 vessel I suggest you go back to the Raven.

It depends what you're doing in the Tengu. I prefer a decent cap recharge over 1 more launcher when fighting anything that neuts, players or NPCs, as I have a limited supply of cap boosters. The logic for this is quite simple, if you have to warp off due to low cap, then your DPS is now 0, so a 5 slot launcher that doesn't need to leave has a higher effective DPS.

Wrong, poster above me is so wrong it's actually hurting me.
First of all, in a fight, warping off is not always and option, so regardless of whether or not you're cap stable, with 6 launchers, you will have more effective damage placed on the target before you die than if you had 5 launchers.
Furthermore, the tengu doesn't need to be cap stable because you will not be running all of your mods in a fight non-stop. If you're buffer fit, you need to run only your scram/disruptor/web, and possibly pulse your MWD. The extra launcher slot subsystem provides ~16cap/s (I think), which is enough to perma all of those.
If you're running an active tank and relying on cap recharge, you're ******ed. L2capboost.
And again, nobody runs all their mods 24/7 in a fight. Learn how to module manage.
And if you've all been talking about pve, I assure you that you can get LOTS of tank, cap stable, with a 6 launcher layout.

In EVE, it is never about DPS. It's always about DPS vs tank. More DPS means you break the target's tank faster, disproportionately to how much more DPs it is, i.e. 5% more DPS might well mean you gank 15% faster. Or 67% faster.
Well, except for buffer tanked targets, and for rats who don't regen or repair one way or the other. But badass rats in missions often do tank.

Rather offtopic, but the Power Core subsystem is pretty much only for a turret Tengu. Not that it's a good reason.

I PvE in a C3 WH with my PvP Tengu, so, yes, I need to warp off sometimes. I know the web and scram don't help much, but I like having them fitted as they look nice and I can talk to them.
oh, I'm sorry. You don't do any PvE that has any element of danger to it? In that case, just choose the cookie-cutter Golem/CNR/Tengu and carry on.

I couldn't find any of your awesome 242 kills where you didn't massively outnumber your opponent, so I won't expect you to understand a PvE or PvP form of combat that wasn't gate camping in low sec.

Yes, one of our WHs is a C3 with a Medium POS. POS is reinforced and we have evacced all assets out and moved to another WH. Grats.
Oh, and by the way, the intel on your blog is very, very wrong. We weren't even online when you shot our POS, that was people from the C2 K162...

Headings slightly back on the topic of Tengu fits, I wouldn't set too much store by what Leeluvv has to say on the subject; he's lost more of the things than he's fired Caldari Navy Scourge missiles:

(cue Benny Hill theme tune, Yakkety Sax)
We have tried to ban him from flying them, and suggested he fly a drake instead. |

They were all from the K162 C2 next door. We certainly do not even match your numbers, let alone outnumber you. If you look our fleet composition up on a killbaord, you'll see that it is less than half yours. Also, I wasn't even aware that we had anyone online when you put the POS into reinforced until I checked who one of the SB pilots was, as the killboard API didn't pick up the loss for some reason.
We actually have very thorough intel on your WH operation. Please don't bull**** me on your numbers or ships. Seems your total resistance consisted of bombing our energy neut, trying (and failing) to bomb a pod fetching ships through a WH, and bombing our drones while we RFed your POS. Anyway, "GF" I guess. Once your POS comes down I'll make a follow up blog post with more information. Good luck in future endeavors. :)

Any API killboard will pick up the details. Most people use battleclinic. You used observation as intelligence, not research, which backfired against us quite badly as we were trying to make ourselves look stronger than we were.
I wasn't flaming Kismo for not getting kills on his Scimitar, I merely commented on where his kills were and his fleet size versus the target.
Despite this, your operation was well exectuted, so grats, but sorry we couldn't fight as we would have just thrown our ships away.
