Finally, someone put together some glasses that take away the 3-D from those movies that do 3-D "just because they can."
I wonder if someone can do the same to strip the CQ out of stations. ( Akita )

O if anything this would make 3d more popular cus they no longer have to show 2d for people to fussy or unable to see 3d. They just have to give em glasses to........

Already ordered my pair, still got to pay more to get into the 3d movies though so it's kinda self defeating

I for one would love to be able to walk on stations and fly spaceships in the body of a little cute catgirl!

So you get all the con's of watching 3d, without actually getting to see the 3d.

I have to say that I am one of the silent majority of people who like 3D. I get no headaches watching it have no problem with finding a point of focus. And generally really enjoy Film made in 3D for 3D. Granted Some of the 2D Films that have been post converted into 3d have been very bad. (Clash Of the titans) but I think that's more down to poor film making and the after thought 3D than a problem with the medium.
It returns the spectacle to the Cinema and done right both captivates, entertains and benefits story telling. But in return it gets a lot of flack when it is tagged on a bad film. Often taking blame it does not deserve. It did not make the film bad. It already was bad. It just made it more noticeable. 3D is proven to Show flaws with CG more than 2D so if something is bad CG wise or Shot poor with Bad lighting the 3D exacerbates these flaws. Avatar was done Hugely well. If the story was a a little dance with wolves in space. Visually it brought a fantasy world to life like I have never seen.
Films that probably should have been 3D/ Or that are To be 3D that i will go see are: God zilla. Sucker Punch (similar to avatar it think it would of looked breathtaking in 3d. made up more for the lack of story). Jurassic park. Independence Day. The Simpsons movie (cartoons can be very funny in 3d) Saving Private Ryan and pearl Harbour (I think it would be fairly Emotional to see both those films with the added depth of field 3D gives).
But the one I really have high hopes for is Ridley Scott's Alien productions. It was confirmed these will be 3D And he has said he finds 3D a interesting challenge as it requires complex lighting. (You will know from AlIEN that lighting is a really key thing in these films). If he pulls it off i think we could see new life in the horror/monster film market.

I see the 3D market as a racket within an already proven racket by my perceptions. I have a hard time justifying paying to see movies in 3D as too many movies in general are just really really awefull movies to begin with. That being said I enjoyed Avatar and that has been the only 3D movie I have seen. Or, I may just be a young curmudgeon
